Sneak Attack Congress Slips Controversial Measures into Spending Bill - NBC News
The second measure Congress snuck into the spending the bill will be more galling to some, because it amounts to a pay raise for the two unpopular political parties: It raises the $32,400 maximum that donors could give the Democratic National Committee or Republican National Committee to a whopping $324,000 per year, gutting what's left of the McCain-Feingold campaign-finance law. The Washington Post says this was inserted on page 1,599 of a 1,603-page bill (!!!). These two measures -- and probably more like them -- will become law because they were jammed into a must-pass spending bill to keep the government open. Remember all the grumbling about transparency? All the grumbling about gigantic bills that many members of Congress never read? Given that, what happened last night was mind blowing.

You Republicrats must feel pretty foolish about now

Looks like the puppets (AKA- politicians) danced for the lobbyists (AKA-not you) AGAIN  :clap2:

and yet you defend the Democrats like a motherfucker.....and vote for them.....like i have said before Dottie.....your a phony and a hypocrite....

The whole notion of any real differences between Democrats and Republicans is just a sad joke for the hyper-partisan morons.
^ that

they merely take turns working for the REAL OWNERS of the country.

No surprise here.
Both sides of the aisle have been screwing the American people for years when it comes to illegal immigration.
All this does is drive conservatives farther to the right and I expect we'll see a stronger Tea Party because of it.

I can't believe that I agree with you 100% on an issue. Pleasure to meet you.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Representation by lottery draft is probably the only hope for the country.

Let's not forget that Boehner promised to give the public 72 hours to read any pending bills before they are voted upon. He recently broke that promise. That, while the chairman of the GOP is pushing to assure that no illegal aliens are deported.

Sad that very few on this board are batting so much as an eyelash given this :puke: inducing revelation ESPECIALLY our Repub brethren who are running the House :eusa_think:

They didn't even come close to listing all the things that will give major but hurt to the commiecrats. A couple of examples are reduced funding to the EPA to 2007 levels, reduced funding to the IRS, almost eliminating funding for the panel that was supposed to oversee the ACA that will prevent them for getting set up and many more. It's a 1600 page bill that has all kinds of good things in it.

BTW the Constitution gives congress all legislative authority over DC so they are well within their rights. DC is the seat of government and not a state, only states get representation.

all kinds of good things? Its $1.1 TRILLION you useful idiot!!!

By all means vote for a third-party. Or stay home and pick your toes. The results are the same.

The whole notion it was somehow "snuck in" ... When there is an article explaining what was "snuck in" ... Is even more pathetic.

That is like saying ... "Just stand there and I will surprise on the count of three".

.

so you're on the lesser of the two evils bandwagon? :eusa_doh:IOW's voting for one side of the same coin like its going to make a diff? :doubt:

They just voted themselves 10X the amt of money they were previously allowed to receive (safe-seats anyone?) AND rolled back the limitations placed upon the banksters that were put in place in 2008.

Open your eyes!!! :disbelief:
