You forgot Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina. Though I guess you could say looting isn't violence.RandomVariable with a little random information. These are the years in which the National Guard have been called out to quell violence. Please let me know if I missed any. This is the first time in the Guard's history they have been called out twice in one year, and it is only April.

1967 - race riots Detroit, Michigan
