Idaho's population increase is due to Californians leaving that state, and moving to Idaho (specifically the Boise area) upon retirement. You really don't know how to do basic research do you....
I know what's going on here .. obviously you do not ;-)
We're getting nearly as many from the State of WA as we are from California even though Callie has 5 times as many people.
And the predominant age group moving here are not retirees (they move to Florida) .. they are 21-30 year olds.
With Boise State growing like crazy many of those young people are students and student athletes. Many stay with a robust employment scene in technology, manufacturing and service industries of various kinds.
Back to the drawing board for you!
