RIGHT BEHIND YOU
How come the bill's backers tell us they need money to "retrain" workers who will lose their jobs? Hiding the truth in plain sight....that's what would be hilarious about this if it didn't mean more jobs would be leaving to the Pacific Rim. How stupid do they think you are?

This is all conveniently cloaked in hooey going by the name of "Trade Adjustment Assistance" instead of calling it what it is....throwing workers out of closing U.S. factories and turning them into what....web designers? The double hit is the "retraining" money coupled with unemployment benefits come from our remaining taxpayers. For folks in fly-over country, that means turning taxpayers into welfare recipients so the Fortune 500 can keep chasing slave-labor and in turn, selling us a $5 hammer.

The "Trade Promotion Authority" is simply a means of getting even more crap sent to us from foreign workers instead of the quality products we used to make and send around the world. Look at the damage NAFTA and joining the WTO have done already....5 million jobs lost. Turn off the freeway and see what our corporations have done to small town America who lost their local manufacturing plant. Deserted downtowns, homes in disrepair that were lost to foreclosure, people's faces showing the stress not of an uncertain future, but no future at all.

Donald Trump may be a buffoon and a hustler, but he's hitting the bullseye on trade deals. Those promoting them have no concern about the American worker; only the corporate bottom-line. And those who think their desk-job isn't next, only need look at the current unemployed to see they assumed only blue-collars were affected. The truth is quite the opposite. We don't need any more of these "deals"....we need to get the hell out of the ones we're in.

BUMP! Normally I get intense feedback from GOPers on this issue...I wonder if it's finally sinking in that we need to get our lost jobs back or there won't be enough folks buying what's being imported for anybody to make a profit?
