So in the last eight months, Biden could not increase the troop numbers or change the withdrawal date? Oh wait he changed the date. So Biden is able to change the date but he could not get more troops in Afghanistan in eight months? It seemed the 2500 troops were doing okay up until the start of the withdrawal. So why didn't Biden bring in more troops? Why didn't he extend the date of the withdrawal if Biden wasn't properly prepared?

The success of the Taliban can not be due to any outside force.
They are not backed by the Russians, Chinese, US, etc.

Afghanistan, the Taliban, etc., have nothing to do with right or left.
It simply was illegal for US forces to go there, stay there, or force anything on them.

The simple fact is that the Taliban represent the remaining faction of the Mujahedeen we created in 1979, and as such, should always have been treated as our allies.
It was immoral to every treat them any other way.

Good it seems like Biden brought in more troops, Biden changed the date, it looks like he is in charge and has been for months, this is on Biden, he is in charge. If Biden had pulled this off successfully no one would have had a problem with Biden taking all the credit. Since he is the one that messed it up, he gets the blame.

Many of you are simply confused. That "military hardware" was not coming home ever. It was left for the Afghans to use.

It is rather hilarious that the right wing kooks are now singing the praises of the Afghan people. Their blob left the Iraqi nationals in the lurch (and even deported soldiers who fought over there)...and nary a peep.

And the entire Republican Party voted against funding their removal from Afghanistan.

Why are all of these civilians still in Afghanistan when Trump set a withdrawal date of May 1st? Shouldn't Trump have gotten the civilians out first? Should he have ensured that the funding and framework were in place to get the interpreters out, or was he planning on abandoning them like he did the Kurds?

Why didn't the civilians leave before the military? Or did they need them to support the military through to the end?
