The most rotten creatures loom in countries that are considered the spearhead of civilization and democracy. They come out of their holes to slaughter disabled people on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in a society that is accustomed to killing sprees and murder.

In Syria, civilization and humanity prevail despite whole armies of terrorists. Some of them are even considered democratic rebels.

The Syrian International Day of Persons with Disabilities has been a statewide event and not even the most gruesome terrorists interrupted the celebrations.

"Damascus, SANA – Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Syrian Special Olympics organized on Friday a race for people with special needs of all ages.

The 1 km-distance race was held on Autostrade al-Mazzeh in Damascus under the motto “Together, Everything Is Possible” and was capped with a football match played by the team of people with special needs.

Minister of Tourism Bishr Yazigi said the education and health support provided by the private and government institutions to the people with special needs is “a good step towards building a strong and coherent society.”

The Sports Director at the Syrian Special Olympics Mohannad Taha, in turn, pointed out that the event will be held in most provinces besides Damascus."

"Damascus, SANA – Under the patronage of Mrs. Asma al-Assad, Syrian Organization for the Disabled (AAMAL) in cooperation with Damascus University held an honoring ceremony for the first batch of MA graduates in Audiology Sciences in conjunction with the International Day for People with Disability.

Mrs. al-Assad awarded certificates for graduates: Fadi al-Shami, Mohamed al-Hallak, Imad Ibrahim al-Karrad, Farah Abu Durghm, Juhaina Numa, Elianor Otman and Alaa Ibrahim al-Karrad.

Touring the organization’s sections, Mrs. al-Assad was informed about the organization’s work and met the families of children with disabilities who provided her with an account about their achievements after the training they received.

In turn, Dr. Ali Turkmani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AAMAL, said in his speech during the ceremony that building capabilities and rehabilitation staffs are the main objectives of the organization.

He pointed out that AAMAL had adopted the principle of partnership between state institutions and non-governmental organizations, stressing that people with disabilities are potential energy that should be tapped into to contribute to development in Syria.

During the ceremony, a short film titled “The Silent Day” was screened which focused on the importance of integrating people with disabilities in society and the way to deal with them and highlighted their lives and problems.

The Syrian Organization for the Disabled (AAMAL) is a civil non-profit organization founded in 2002 to enable persons with disabilities to integrate into society through the Autism Rehabilitation Center and the Rehabilitation Center for Hearing Disabilities."

What a sweetheart........Assad barrel bombs and gasses his citizens on a regular basis.

And then honors the same people he's maimed and disfigured with a special day of celebration. ...... :cuckoo:
