If he is placed under oath, the question is not whether he lies, it is how many times that he lies...I think the obstruction of justice case has already been made. It is just a matter of tying up the pieces.

His statement in the immigration meeting, which he now denies proves that truth is not a friend of Benedict. Mueller should realize that anything short of testimony before a grand jury would give Benedict the opportunity to lie or fabricate his way out.

Even if Mueller just wanted to whitewash (-: (Haiti) it, he'd have to at least make a show of it. Suppose Trump says "no." Mueller can get a grand jury subpoena. Then you have a constitutional crisis.

The only good move Trump has is to have a time limit (he is a busy man after all) and get with his lawyer to come up with a narrative of what he'll cop to ordering his guys to do with Russia, paying personally close attention to any statements he may have made to a quid pro quo and have a spin as to what he meant, and claim no memory to everything not directly attributable to him; he saw nuzzling.
