Incredible: New Jersey Senate Passes .22 Rifle Ban, Magazine Ban By 22 To 17 Vote

If Christie did support the bill, it would end his inspirations for the presidency.
This would end up in the highest court in America.

I wouldn't bet on it. The Supremes just refused to hear a case on whether or not May Issue permits are allowed, despite separate and conflicting appellate opinions.

Breitbart

A2006 2R

SYNOPSIS

Reduces maximum capacity of ammunition magazines to 10 rounds; exempts firearms with .22 caliber tubular magazines from 10 round limitation.

That's so dumb. Dems really need to loosen up on the gun nonsense.
This is not so much a political issue as a cultural one. New Jersey has the most oppressive gun laws in the Nation and each time the issue of guns is raised some of the legislators compete to outdo one another. And the problem is some of these anti-gun politicians know little to nothing about guns.

Who needs to actually know something about the things laws will affect? All I need to know is if it has the shoulder thing that goes up and a barrel shroud and more thrusts per squeeze.

This law would banish two of the most popular and enjoyable .22 rifles presently available; the Ruger 10/22 and the Marlin 39-A. And while I'm at it I'd like to explain how the Second Amendment can easily be circumvented.

By allowing us to "keep" one (and only one) single-shot, bolt-action .22 rifle, chambered for short cartridges, which one may "bear" between the home and a federally supervised shooting range in a locked metal container, the specifications of the Amendment would be fulfilled. And while we are permitted to keep and bear arms, such as that bolt-action .22, we could be prohibited from owning ammunition -- which is not covered by the Second Amendment and would be made available at the federally supervised range.

So if they keep on whittling away, little by little, as with this new .22 law, what I've written above is a glimpse at America in the imminent future.

So, Lorretta Weinberg only wants to take away the goyim's guns "for the children." Curious, isn't it, how most of the gun laws of the last 50 years have originated with people with those funny sounding last names. Let's take a closer look at who wants to make the private ownership of guns illegal, shall we?

And just like that, I quit caring about anything you have to say on the matter.

There were some reps in colorado that thought magazines weren't reusable. They really aren't that bright.

From the denver post: "These are ammunition, they're bullets, so the people who have those now, they're going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won't be any more available."

Magazines, in almost every kind of weapon, can be reloaded.

Then, later in the day, in explaining the mistake, DeGette spokeswoman Juliet Johnson made another one.

"She simply misspoke in referring to 'magazines' when she should have referred to 'clips,' which cannot be reused because they don't have a feeding mechanism," Johnson said.

Clips, too, can be reloaded in almost every instance.

Why?

While it might appear to be anti-Semitic don't you agree it's worthy of consideration? Or do you feel it should be dismissed for no better reason that it might appear to be anti-Semitic?

bans .22 rifles with fixed magazines larger than ten rounds.

Face it Steve, if you need more than 10 rounds to hit a rabbit, you shouldn't be hunting.

I don't hunt rabbits with a .22. I use my old trustworthy A-5 Belgium Browning with #6 shot.

WOW...two nancy peloise moments over the same issue. Dems show their incredible stupidity over and over.....yet the same dumb ass liberals elect them over and over.:cuckoo:

I mean seriously!! Why in the world would you want someone representing you who doesnt even take the time to research an issue before opening their mouths and looking like a complete jackass?
What does that tell you about the effort they put into governing the people?

Based on my observation over the years it seems the more familiar a lawmaker is with guns the less likely he/she is to propose or pass restrictive gun laws. It is these flagrantly ignorant politicians, such as those you've referred to, who pass the stupidly oppressive laws imposed on law-abiding Americans.

The least common purpose of a .22 rifle is hunting. Its most common purposes are target-shooting and "plinking," which means such activities as shooting tin cans in a quarry or shooting rats in a dump -- which is an extremely constructive purpose.

Yet they are re-elected time and time again -- by voters who are just as ignorant as they are. And that's why America eventually will be an extension of Mexico.
