Trump advertises he has a big stick and engages in Brinkmanship with a billion followers of Islam and a million immigrants, most of whom simply want to leave in peace and be left alone. to simple it down for the undecided, Trump wants to build walls as part of his hate and fear campaign, HRC wants to build bridges. HRC has experience in governance, Trump has experience in bullying an bribing.

The work of Reagan and Bush and Gorbachev was largely destroyed by the Clintons the last time they were in office and we cannot risk having them make a mess of US Russia relations again.

Bush41 had persuaded Gorbachev to liberate the Soviet satellite states by promising the US would not allow them to join NATO, but when the Clintons took office, they promptly allowed 12 of these states to join NATO, leaving the Russian Federation closely surrounded by an organization designed specifically to fight them. Not satisfied with breaking a US promise key to friendly US Russia relations, the Clintons demanded Russia quickly privatize everything and sent "expert" after "expert" to Russia to convince them the transition would be painless if they did it quickly. In fact, because it was done too quickly under Clinton's prodding, it brought economic and political chaos and great suffering to the Russian people on top of the humiliation of being closely surrounded by NATO. Putin is a national hero in Russia largely because he put and end to the economic and political chaos the Clintons helped to create and has stood up to US bullying by bolstering NATO's presence on its borders.

Putin and the Russian people distrust the Clintons for good reason, and the worst thing Obama could have done for US Russia relations was appoint Hillary Clinton Secretary of State. Because of this profound distrust of the Clintons, if Hillary is elected, there is no possibility of the US and Russia reaching an accommodation that will end the carnage in Syria and that means hundreds of thousands of people will continue to die and millions become homeless refugees in Syria for years to come.

Democrats would decry Trump's ability to get along with Putin and the Russian people, but in fact, this mutual respect offers the best hope there is of the US and Russia being able to reach an accommodation on Syria that will allow Russia to keep its bases in Syria in return for allowing Assad to step down and then joining forces with the US to quell the Islamists, who are common enemies of both the US and Russia.
