I think the US embassy in Sanaa discontinued services in 2015.

Yes we did. I was assigned to the Embassy in Sanaa once upon a time. I rotated back to the US (CONUS) in mid-2010.

Iraqi media outlets report violent explosions that have been heard in the last hour in the city of Arbil, the capital of the Kurdish region in northern Iraq. A media outlet affiliated with the pro-Iranian militias in Iraq claims that it is a barrage of rockets at a US base.
