Is this the "smoking gun"? Letter from Cohen stating Trump did not reimburse him for Stormy Daniels payment

what someone considered “a few months” is subjective what a few is to you might not be the same to someone else

all i can say is when announcements were made. We know in feb bragg was against it based on announments, we know a few days after trump announced he was running beat announemed a jump start to the investigation doing a 180
A few months is3-4 months

He signed the check
We’ll, that being true in a technical sense, his name is auto printed on every check, so, while he was not actually operating his business, yes, his name is in the check, but he himself never actually authorized it.

A few months before Nov 21 will indisputably precede Nov. 15th.

Nod.
yes and the only announcement i can find about the case was from feb as i stated.

what we know about the investigation is that they didn’t announce braggs 180 on it until right after trump announced.

i am not sure what you are trying to say that disputes any of that

LOL

By "legal fees," you mean reimbursing Cohen for paying $280,000 to keep 2 women silent about affairs they had with Trump.
he paid over 400k to Cohen. I have no idea what Cohen was doing with his legal serrvices

You don’t think the DNC/Hilary campaign was aware of it? Any opposition research firm worth a dime would have found it. I kind of find it hard to believe that political campaigns who spend millions digging up dirt on their opponents would be unaware of an interview a porn star gave about sleeping with said opponent. Had Hillary fucked a male porn star and said porn star had done an interview in the same tabloid you don’t think someone would have found it? Really?

And yet, Stormy told her story in 2011... AND no Democrats raised the issue in 2016, a fair presumption being none knewcabout it... AND Trump did pay to shut up Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, about affairs he had 10 years earlier, in the months leading into his election.

Cohen wasn't performing legal services during that period. From another Trump attorney...

When I heard Cohen’s retainer of $35,000, when he was doing no work for the President, I said, ‘That’s how he’s repaying it, with a little profit and a little margin for paying taxes, for Michael.’

Indicted and investigated him, not really. That could only happen when he was out of office.

Nothing stopped them from indicting him other than choice. Multiple entities investigated this including Bragg's predecessor and the FEC. None of which chose to indict. BTW this DA isnt claiming that the sol for the falsification of business records hasn't run out. He's claiming that it's a felony because Trump committed that crime in order to commit campaign finance crimes which makes it a felony according to NY State law. It's interesting that the FEC who investigated this didn't think it violated any such election laws.
Meaningless. He was out of the jurisdiction after the crime occurred.

At no point in thsg tweet did he mention stormy or paying her.

That's not Trump's entire tweet, hence the ellipsis at the end. Twitter limits tweets to 280 bytes, causing Trump's tweet to span 3 tweets. Here's the entirety of those tweets...

Mr. Cohen, an attorney, received a monthly retainer, not from the campaign and having nothing to do with the campaign, from which he entered into, through reimbursement, a private contract between two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. These agreements are very common among celebrities and people of wealth. In this case it is in full force and effect and will be used in Arbitration for damages against Ms. Clifford (Daniels). The agreement was used to stop the false and extortionist accusations made by her about an affair, despite already having signed a detailed letter admitting that there was no affair. Prior to its violation by Ms. Clifford and her attorney, this was a private agreement. Money from the campaign, or campaign contributions, played no roll in this transaction.

link? and 35k? where is that number coming from? profit snd a little margin and taxes?

It that letter says no such thing. It just says she never slept with him.

It implies she was paid hush money; but that wasn't the reason for denying she had sex with Trump (emphasis mine)...

To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago.

The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 20011, 2016, 2017 and now again in 2018. I am not denying this affair because I was paid “hush money” as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened.

I will have no further comment on this matter. Please feel free to check me out on Instagram at @thestormydaniels.

Thank you,

Stormy Daniels

Thanks for admitting again how ignorant you are about the things you post on here

Ok, so, let’s say she did have an affair, and the letter she signed was part of the denial and NDA? Why did she come forward?

She claims she was paid $15,000 for sexual relations with trump.

She claims she was paid $130,000 to sign NDA and keep quiet about it

She then breaks said NDA after having been paid.

She then sues trump for defamation and loses

So, why would she go through all of this? My guess it was for political reasons. Which, while it looks bad on trump, it looks bad on Daniels too. She got paid all this money and then went back on their deal to tarnish trump.

Ok, so he’s claiming that the money he paid her and the NDA was about getting her to stop making false accusations about an affair, and the tweet even said he PREVIOUSLY signed a letter denying the affair. So, it sounds like the letter was not part of the NDA, that letter came about before the NDA, and the NDA was to prevent her from going on about an affair he says is false.

Now, the question is why didn’t he just sue her…maybe because he didn’t want to be embroiled in a lawsuit during an election, so it was easier to just buy her silence? Who knows.

Still, the letter never claims he paid her for silence in relation to an affair, it says they paid her to stop spreading lies about an affair.

That’s what I read anyway.

The very next line says she is denying it becasue it never happened.

She went public by filing a lawsuit to get out of the NDA. The action of filing the suit is why it became public information.

No, he didn't sign a letter denying the affair ... he was talking about the letter she signed where she denied the affair. But again, she was paid $130,000 to say that.
