838. Iraq crisis (6/14/2014)

All of a sudden, Iraq is in crisis. The second biggest city is fallen. Baghdad is threatened.

Iraqi soldiers, police drop weapons, flee posts in portions of Mosul

CNN, Fri June 13, 2014

"I only ... saw armed people, but not Iraqi military," said resident Firas al-Maslawi of his drive through Mosul on Tuesday. "There was no presence of any government forces on the streets, the majority of their posts destroyed and manned by (Islamist militants)."

The numerous reports of police and soldiers running from their posts in Mosul raised the prospect that the Iraqi government did not either have the will or resources to win this and other fights.

Iraqi security forces, trained by Pentagon for years and well equipped with helicopters, tanks and armoured cars, vastly outnumber the jihadists, suddenly melted down in the face of ISIL rebels.

Consider Al Qaeda jihadists are created and supported by the US to deal with its dislikes (such like Libya’s Gaddafi and Syria’s Assad) and the current Iraq government is a puppet set up by US in Iraq war, both sides are US’ assets. I think it’s a drama conducted by the US. You can see the leadership of Iraqi troops gave up the city without any fight.

ISIS butchers leave 'roads lined with decapitated police and soldiers'

According to bitter Iraqi foot soldiers, their commanders slipped away in the night rather than mount a defence of the city.

One said: ‘Our leaders betrayed us. The commanders left the military behind. When we woke up, all the leaders had left.’

US inside group used to create a case, with which to ask for more power and money. E.g. the 911 attack has been created to get Patriot Act and two wars in Mid-East. What is it now for this Iraq crisis?

839. Iraqi crisis created to save dollar (6/18/2014)
In early June, Russia switches the oil payment from dollars to Euros.

Gazprom Signs Agreements to Switch from Dollars to Euros

Global Research, June 07, 2014

Gazprom Neft had signed additional agreements with consumers on a possible switch from dollars to euros for payments under contracts, the oil company’s head Alexander Dyukov told a press conference.

“Additional agreements of Gazprom Neft on the possibility to switch contracts from dollars to euros are signed. With Belarus, payments in rubles are agreed on,” he said.

Dyukov said nine of ten consumers had agreed to switch to euros.

This is very important news. If people starting to abandon the dollar, US will be hurt seriously in economy. Yet the news was little reported by the mainstream media. Several days later, the ISIL rebel in Iraq activates an offensive. The puppet Iraqi government retreats without any resistance. As a result, the oil price goes up.

Oil prices spike as Iraq violence flares
By Mark Thompson @MarkThompsonCNN June 12, 2014

Oil prices spiked Thursday to levels not seen in nine months as escalating violence in Iraq sparked worries about crude exports.

Light crude oil futures touched $106 a barrel, up nearly 2% and the highest price since September 2013.

Oil prices spike as Iraq violence flares - Jun. 12, 2014

Since the money used in most oil trading is dollar, the higher oil price will force the buyer to keep more dollar in bank as purchasing power. It’s a big amount if future option is included. Manipulating oil price becomes a strategy to save the dollar. Iraq is a big country of oil production and exportation. Its political stability has huge influence to oil price. US has turned it into a switch to adjust the oil price.

Who is gonna stop them? Saudi Arabia? Iran? Jordan? Kuwait? Come on folks..time to fix your own damn problems.

Well ISIS were backed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. If we're going to go full tilt Sunni vs Shia I'm betting Iran and Syria tag teaming to try to wipe them out.

Not good. Sunni jihadists are pouring into the region from all our nations and there is a heavy recruitment program that they've got in place.

It's a dogs breakfast.

Russia is sending military aid and Iran is providing 88 fighter jets.

President Putin is in charge. And he delivered a kick right to obama's balls.

Payback for Ukraine, maybe?
Do you know if Russia is abandoning the petrodollar?

Well we did send or are in the process of sending 300 advisors. :eusa_whistle:
I fear for these guys when the capital is over run.

Pretty funny watching John McCain, Lindsey Graham , and Marco Rubio after their White House briefing yesterday. They were all in agreement that the President already has the authority to do whatever is needed in Iraq. In other words whatever the President decides to do is OK with them. Imagine that, those guys like to second guess the President on everything. But now, for some reason, they want to leave all the decisions to him. So hard to figure out why.

Saying that the presidunce has the authority doesn't mean that someone agrees with the exercise of that authority. Why would you think it does? obama has the authority to make all the bad decisions he intends to make.

I think they'll go after jordon after they're done with Iraq and syria. Their goal is to take over the middle east.

The Jordanian Army is not like the Iraqi army, they would fight. Problem is, at least half of the Jordanians are Palestinians who would like nothing more than their Sunni brothers taking over.

And then the IDF will wait for them. That's a different story all together.

ISIS has already taken the border crossing between Iraq and Jordan.

Maybe that's why Senate Republicans are so reluctant to involve themselves in the decision making process; they fear the repercussions of having to actually take responsibility for something. What is their responsibility in war time? I forget. Is Congress supposed to have some Constitutional responsibility? Hard to tell since they always pass that off to the President.

"We are told that ISIS masked psychopaths captured 'arms and ammunition from the fleeing security forces' - arms and ammunition supplied by the American government.

"The offensive coincides with a successful campaign by ISIS in eastern Syria. According to Iraqi journalists, Sunni tribal chiefs in the region had been convinced to side with ISIS against the Shiite Al-Maliki government in Baghdad.

"They were promised a better deal under ISIS Sunni Sharia than with Baghdad anti-Sunni rule.

"According to the New York Times, the mastermind behind the ISIS military success is former Baath Party head and Saddam Hussein successor, General Ibrahim al-Douri.

"Douri is reportedly the head of the Iraqi rebel group Army of the Men of the Naqshbandi Order as well as the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation based on his longstanding positions of leadership in the Naqshbandi sect in Iraq.

"In 2009, US ‘Iraqi surge’ General David Petraeus, at the time heading the US Central Command, claimed to reporters that Douri was in Syria. Iraqi parliamentarians claimed he was in Qatar.

"The curious fact is that despite being on the US most wanted list since 2003, Douri has miraculously managed to avoid capture and now to return with a vengeance to retake huge parts of Sunni Iraq. Luck or well-placed friends in Washington?"

Good news, the President is finally taking action against ISIS, President Assad that is.

God Bless Assad, a warrior against NATO Imperialism, Zionism, and Sunni Islamism.

Israel is part of Levant, sorry to burst your bubble.

Why would it burst my bubble?

"Jordan is facing threats on three fronts: from Syria, ISIS in Iraq and potentially from Hamas in the West Bank, former head of the Israel Defense Forces Operations Branch Maj.-Gen. (ret.) Israel Ziv told a news conference of The Israel Project on June 24.

"The threat to Jordan from ISIS, should also be perceived as a direct threat to Israel, he said. The Jewish state cannot merely look at the current physical threats on its borders. Israel’s security policies have to take in the broader regional picture.

"Jordan has the longest border with Israel.

"For Israel, any change or real threat that puts Jordan in instability has a direct effect on Israel, such a direct effect that can change the whole national security policy of Israel….

"Israel should look at it as an almost direct threat to Israel.

"He warned that 2,000-3-000 Jordanian jihadists recently returned home from fighting with extremist rebels in Syria 'to prepare the ground for the next stage.'”

840. US keeps Iraq a battle field to adjust oil price (6/25/2014)

Since the recent Iraq crisis created by the US is to save dollar, US will maintain the current situation unchanged. A US craft carrier has been deployed in Mid-East, no air attack has done so far.

Analysis: Obama plan leaves Iraq mostly on its own

Three hundred US military advisors were sent to Iraq. Their role likely is to instruct Iraqi troops to retreat from cities or oil fields when they want the oil price to go up. Or vice versa.

The US will turn Iraq into another battle field. Let Arabs fight Arabs. Decades ago, it was Saddam's Iraq vs. Iran. Now it will be Sunni's Iraq, Saudi, Qarda vs. Shiiti Iraq, Iran.

That's a strategy it used to play, just like it manipulates Democrats and Republicans in domestic politics.

The good news is the 7th to the 10th century were the height of islam in science and civilization!

Maybe the isis will hire a bunch of scientist and open up schools?

Oh hell no. Hard line Sharia. Back to before the Flintstones. Stone age all the way

Being an enterprising soul myself if I was a local in any of those regions I'd become a burqa designer.

Or an Obama or Bush flammable effigy maker. I could make a fortune with this new crew.

I imagine a lot of stonings will take place so maybe invest in a quarry. Mmmm. Mmmm.

Give me time. I can think of more for a local entrepreneur.

:D

Sheesh, if the Teabaggers were not so geriatric, they would be over there taking lessons from this bunch.

"Hamas seems to be losing control of the dozens of terror cells in the Gaza Strip.

"Hamas prevented local journalists from covering the ISIS rally in the Gaza Strip last month as part of its effort to deny the existence of ISIS in the Gaza Strip.

"But Hamas seems to be trying to cover the sun with one finger.

"The Gaza Strip is no longer only a threat to Israel, but also to Egypt. The only way to confront this threat is through security cooperation between Israel and Egypt.

"Despite denials by Hamas, there is growing evidence that the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria [ISIS] -- also known as 'The Islamic State' -- has begun operating in the Gaza Strip.

"Palestinian Authority [PA] and Israeli security sources are convinced that followers of ISIS in the Gaza Strip are responsible for some of the recent rocket attacks on Israel.

"Hamas, they say, seems to be losing control over the dozens of terror cells belonging to ISIS and other jihadi groups."

ISIS Already in Gaza Strip

Some are suggesting Israel and Egypt will have to launch joint operations in Gaza while the Jews and Jordanians battle ISIS on Jordan's borders with Syria and Iraq.
If so, what happens to the Palestinians in Gaza and on the West Bank?
