See the rocks and mountains in each picture? There is no snow on them in any of the pictures, therefore the pictures are not taken in winter. So you are getting a full view of the ice that is present. Third grade logic.

Frozen river/snow on the mountains.

Unfrozen river/NO snow on the mountains.

God, another fuck too dumb to be alive. Yes, there is snow in the crevices. See the same at high altitudes in August in the Blue Mountains. No fresh snow on the ground. How many months of the year are there in even lower Alaska where there is no snow on the ground?
