Sure he did.... he personally stopped republicans from accomplishing the missions that they were given when they were voted in. Which of course was what he wanted to do. It seems very odd he would throw in the towel and resign from Congress. I wonder if there is something else a foot? Perhaps ill-health or a hidden scandal of some sort?

With his multiple addictions to cigs, booze, tanning and golf - I thought the same thing.

But, I think its just as likely that he knows the tee potties will continue to stop any real legislating or governing and just couldn't take their crap any longer.

Nothing will change. They will still obstruct and any legislation will be as it has been - War. More money for the 1% and against the working class, vets, children, women, gays ...
