Gag orders are sometimes issued. But after all the public exposure in this case? It hardly seems wise to censor the litigants at this juncture

Sure, they get to speak on the court. But if the fear is the tainting of the prospective jury pool, that ship sailed long ago. The defendant is the previous President of the United States of America. It is silly to assume that you’re gonna find any juror who hasn’t heard or formed some prior opinion about him. So why try to muzzle him now.

A motion for change of venue however appears very likey. At least get this political persecution out of the Democrat bastion of NY County. Send it upstate somewhere. More neutral territory is required.
