Just think with single payer health Insurance how wonderful life will be ...no more bankruptcies as a result of health care ..............

All the health care you’ll ever need but none of it without incredibly long waits.

And this concept would absolutely reopen the discussion of “death panels.”

No I didn't. That was a more specific claim. At times age is a valid reason to deny care.

My friends dad is 94. He has cancer. They stopped treatment on him.
how is age different than a rare disease??

did they forcibly stop treatment or did he or the family have a say so??

Single Payer Health Insurance will save billions annually by eliminating high overhead and profits of the private health insurance industry and HMOs.

The transition to single payer health insurance would apply the savings from administration and profits to expanded and improved coverage for all.

Just Think With Single Payer Health Insurance

Just think with Single Payer Insurance everyone will pay less because all in the USA will be paying their fair share.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance everyone in the USA is paying their own way.

Just think with Medicare Single Payer Insurance every clinic, hospital, doctor and such gets paid thus decreasing the cost of medical care.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance an estimated 2.4 million new jobs are created because the bills for medical care are getting paid..... as they should.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance the USA workforce is evermore productive due to active health and wellness programs.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance every child in the USA never has to do without medical and dental care ever.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance every senior citizen in the USA never has to be without medical and dental care.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance every soldier will never again need to wait for the defense department and capitol hill to declare a condition as service connected BECAUSE they will be covered for whatever. The families will be forever grateful.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance every local community will experience a boost in economic growth because all of the new health care jobs will in fact create other jobs in a community.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance everyone will be healthier thus happier.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance every household will have more $$$$$ to spend and/or invest in their retirement or buy a home or buy a piano or invest in a college education for themselves or children.

Just think with Single Payer Insurance the entire economy is stronger and far more substantial.

Well yeah....because when you hit the age where you actually need healthcare......you will be wait listed to the point you die........so you won't be paying anything....

Let's look at the vaunted National Health Service of Britain...running out of money, losing Doctors and Nurses, and wait lists that are killing people...

The NHS is now in such a state of collapse, so chronically kaput, that it is actually killing people. Men, women and children who should be alive today are dead because they were born British. Lost forever to their loved ones because Britain has a health service with some of the worst outcomes in the developed world.

The fundamental problem is bureaucratic incompetence and indifference:

Many of us will know of relatives or friends who are too scared to go to hospital (because they think they will die of sepsis or neglect), who have spent several excruciating hours on the floor at home awaiting an ambulance, who have given up even trying to get a GP appointment (more chance of a blind date with a unicorn, quite frankly). Or they’ve found out that their “urgent referral” means an initial hospital consultation in June 2025 and have raided their savings to go private for their hip operation.
Why not go private if you can when the alternative is a sick joke? “One of my patients received four letters on the same day from our local hospital,” says the London GP, “two letters giving her an appointment on two different dates, and two letters cancelling them both!” That’s peak NHS for you.
Instead of trying to improve health care, the lefties who run the NHS are focused on “Left-wing identity bilge” like “ovary owners” and “birthing parents.”

The government can't do anything right......they can just prolong the destruction of whatever they control...but they can never do it right.

You have no idea how a health system has to work....

Under Britain’s socialized medicine, a cancer diagnosis meets a 3-year waitlist

The European systems chugged along for a while, even as medical care got more complicated, only because Americans paid for it by absorbing their defense costs during the Cold War.
---
A cancer-battling granddad has been left flabbergasted after being told he must wait three years for a hospital appointment. Andrew Jones, 61, won't be allowed to attend the medical facility until it's almost time for the next World Cup in North America.
---
His confirmation arrived days after a 16-year-old boy was told he wouldn't been seen for 950-days for his “urgent” NHS appointment for a urology-related problem.
----

The same article says that the NHS has 6 million people waiting for surgeries for non-life-threatening issues—or 9% of the United Kingdom’s population. If that 6 million number refers only to England’s NHS (as opposed to Scotland’s or Wale’s), then 10.6% of the population is on a healthcare waitlist.

In a real marketplace, the customer would be seeking the best quality for the lowest fees while the provider would be trying to maximize profit, control costs, and provide quality care. These concerns, plus genuine marketplace competition, would see price-conscience shopping and innovation.

Yep..... None....

Even with government health care in Canada, a major illness, injury or other health related problems can affect both your income and your living expenses. Not all medical costs are covered by health care or insurance. You may have found it necessary to take time off work to recover from your health problems. Without supplemental insurance benefits, you may have used credit cards to pay for both your medical costs and every-day living expenses for a while. If you are unable to return to work, your disability income may not be enough to pay off your debts. There is little you can do to prepare for an unexpected medical issue other than ensure that you have insurance and adequate savings to support you for a short period of time
