The only way we're gonna get out of this is to vote progressive in the next election. The reps are not going to do anything. Pelosi is not going to do anything. We need AOC, Ilan, Talib and more like them.Senate Republicans have enjoyed political cover from their House cohort over the past two years. Possibly we will see a big change over the next 18 months?
Robert Mueller Let Donald Trump Duck Direct Questions About Obstruction
"'This sad chapter of American history is behind us,' Representative Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, wrote in a statement. 'It would be a shame for the onslaught of misguided politicized investigations to continue.'
"The Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, was more circumspect.
"He praised Mueller, Attorney General William Barr, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. 'This investigation could not have been handled in a better way,' he said."
In one recent poll, McConnell stood at a 33% approval rating, so maybe Senate conviction on impeachment charges isn't as remote a possibility as some Dems think?
I suppose the effectiveness of that strategy depends on the extent of Russian meddling in 2020?The only way we're gonna get out of this is to vote progressive in the next election. Hillary Clinton in Op-Ed: Treat Mueller Report Like Watergate
"Clinton wrote in a Washington Post op-ed that lawmakers should undertake 'substantive hearings' on the special counsel’s report from his investigation and shouldn’t 'jump straight to an up-or-down vote on impeachment.'

"'Obviously, this is personal for me, and some may say that I’m not the right messenger,' she acknowledged. But the decision between Trump’s immediate impeachment and doing nothing, she wrote, is a 'false choice.'"
