The Koch brothers are remarkable not only for the scope of their political activities or the extremist views they espouse but the secrecy with which they cloak the entire enterprise. These men want to be our nation's conscience (or lack of it), they spend billions to influence public policy and still insist that they be treated as private citizens or honest businessmen disinterested in politics.
