Statues celebrating traitors is a prime example of rewriting history.
Confederates were separatists seeking an autonomous nation of their own, not those seeking to overthrow the U.S.

Learn how to speak your own language.
Then Lee would have never entered into Union territory.
Like it or not , the Confederacy had a legit claim on Ft. Sumter.....True historical fact.

Orwellian control of history. Then they should replace it with a WW2 memorial or even an Afghanistan-Iraq War memorial.

Most southerners were property not people. Their government was not legitimate.
/——-/ Tommy, thank you again for displaying your total ignorance of American history. And this is not making excuses for the institution of slavery, just stating historical fact.

Primitive people who would have been pushed off their land by another European power besides Anglo-Americans.

They were separate nation with a constitution and ambassadors to foreign countries. They were crushed by the army of the United States of America.

The history book that public schools have provided for the last 40 years is the fictional Uncle Toms Cabin. The liberals love to promote that many millions were held in slavery and it’s about 1/20th of that. Most were well treated and well fed, you cant extract effective manual labor from the sick and ill treated-an inconvenient fact that does not match well with the fake feeling that Simon Legrees were everywhere, whipping the slaves almost to death every single day

Lest we forget to mention that there were a number of black slave owners, who were in fact very viscous to their slaves.

That's so toweringly ignorant that it deserves no response better than to tell you what a truly toweringly ignorant dope that you are.
