I know of a lesbian Christian grad student (well that was years ago while she was still studying theology) who went through all the same healing prayer and process that others go through
to heal of unwanted homosexual attractions, and she still remained the same and accepted it.

One of my friends who is a prominent well respected gay atheist and prison reform advocate
in Houston,helps counsel both rich and poor, liberals and conservatives, christian and nonchristian to forgive and recover from past issues in order to be more effective in daily lives and relations and social change in the community as well. He's more sane than most people I know who are too afraid to work with people of other groups, as he works with anyone who will work with him!

then WHY ARE advocates TRYING to get protected as a "class"???

Conservatives and Constitutionalists HAVE been trying to treat LGBT as a BEHAVIOR so this doesn't happen. I even tried to explain LGBT beliefs (both for as against) as FAITH BASED so everyone can respect free choice and quit abusing govt to impose one belief or bias or another but stay neutral.
