Let This Sink In: Trump Could Have Had It All, DACA, Wall Funding, Spending Bill, Then He Blew It Up

GettyImages-660234228-2.jpg

Dealmaker Donald Trump had a deal. It was deal he said he would sign just two days earlier on live TV. It was a deal he said he would "take the heat" for if it came to that, then he buckled—and for no reason at all.

The deal would have been an all-around victory for him. It gave him $1.6 billion for the border wall he so badly wants. It gave him a DACA fix for Dreamers, the "bill of love" he'd asked Congress to give him. And it would have given him the votes to pass a long-term spending bill to both fund the government and the military, a top priority for Trump and the White House.

But Trump looked that deal in face and spit at it. Almost literally spit at it, because he had been primed by his nativist aides and the nativist lawmakers his aides had summoned to the White House to kill the deal. Mission accomplished.

Trump not only killed the deal, but he did so in terms that left the deal's brokers—Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin and GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham—speechless...

$1.6 billion is nothing. If we don't get all the wall funding now, we'll never get it.

Take your $1.6 billion and go fuck yourself.

You idiots must believe we're as dumb as you are.

Tell the orange assclown to keep his promise and make Mexico pay for it.

If he has decided he doesn't want to keep his promise, and now expose himself as a liar. He can always take it out of the $2 Trillion in tax cuts he gave out to the real welfare queens. The lay about rich.
You're going to pay for it, douchebag. Just get used to that reality.

Sorry junior. Every respectable poll out there shows this is going to get shoved very far up your ass. This is the ultimate embarrassment for the first anniversary of the fat ass failure that's sitting in front of his television right now, pissed because he is supposed to be at his golf course, again, to celebrate his first year in office.

All because he made the decision last year to rescind DACA.

It's what is called being hung by your own petard junior.

And what will be called the Trump shutdown right up until the midterms when the blue wave drowns your ass, and the assclowns Presidency is effectively shut down.

Now go get another swastika tattooed on your ass junior and try to convince everybody you are somebody.

DACA is unconstitutional, moron. It actually didn't need to be rescinded because it was never a law in the first place.

It takes a special kind of stupid to believe that a president can create laws unilaterally.

Anyone residing in the United States illegally should be deported.

Period. It’s the law and it’s that simple.

First dreamers then everybody else that is the real plan to turn states blue. You cannot cave one bit on this

This just reinforces what a bleeding pussy Durbin is

Shaken?

Whatwver

And I don't agree

It was a bad deal

The 1. 6 billion was not for the wall

.@realDonaldTrump should heed his own words:
“if there is a shutdown I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He's the one that has to get people together.” #TrumpShutdown

The New York Times Headlines for morning and the title of the AP's lead
story both blame the Democrats.

NYT's says...Democrats Vote to Block Keeping Government Open.
The AP wrote...Democrats Derail Funding to Keep Government Open.

I was a bit surprised, but then again, they probably know what's in
that memo that is getting declassified and they want to get on the right
side of history.

The Dems lose all the way around. McConnell just read Trump's note
on the Floor of the Senate. "Until Our Military is getting paid there will be
no discussion on Immigration." He ain't gonna sign anything before
the government is back up and running.

There was no reason for this and now they must get the Government back open if they want to save DACA.

Schumer is a putz and an obstructionist.

uh........$1.6B is not enough ($20B?). Where is the end to Visa Lottery? End to Chain Migration? this was no deal. this was hogwash.
The Orange barked all year long that Mexico will pay for the wall. Now is the dems fault?

Were Chain Migration or the so called Visa Lottery even included in that CR? Did Trump-0 blow up an agreed to bill for something that wasn't even discussed anyway?

Mexico will pay for the wall through loss of revenue. America will save billions of dollars per year FOREVER if the southern border is controlled properly.

LOL! What planet do you inhabit?! WHERE do you get this stuff? WHAT "deal"?

When Trump and staff began to question Graham about specifics of his "plan," he had no answers, and it was clear he had only a broad outline at best. As a matter of fact, NEITHER GRAHAM NOR THE DEMOCRATS HAVE PUT IN WRITING A DACA/IMMIGRATION BILL TO VOTE ON.

Are you aware of this fact? As the White House continues to point out, the Democrats still have not submitted a written proposal on DACA and immigration. If they have, please provide a link to it.

uh........$1.6B is not enough ($20B?). Where is the end to Visa Lottery? End to Chain Migration? this was no deal. this was hogwash.

First. The orange assclown, that has now been exposed as cheating on his third wife with a porn star, said repeatedly to the point of making normal people want to vomit, that Mexico was going to pay for the wall. A $1.6 Billion gesture by Democrats was very generous on their part.

Said assclown, and serial adulterer and pathological liar also stated in a meeting just two days ago, he would sign a clean DACA bill.

The fact that he didn't even try to make a deal, but sat back and allowed radical members in the House dictate ultimatums, instead of making part of the deal that would exclude chain migration, was a decided failure on the "dealmakers" part.

Mainly because he is an incompetent know nothing, a failure as a human being, and a grifter that nobody takes seriously anyway.

Your attempt at trying to frame this as a serious conversation is so noted.
