Liberal Lie About Red State "Welfare" from Taxpayers

http://www.ct.gov/ecd/lib/ecd/futures/6._bloomberg_defense_spending.pdf
They base their stats on "federal funding" but forget to tell you that in that figure is defense spending. Because red states have lots of military bases (very patriotic as well) that drives up the number. Go to end of Bloomberg report and you will see that the top 25 states for defense spending are almost all red states. Where most of our nations warriors live so go figure.

that has zero to do with the fact that red states have the highest poverty, highest recipients of welfare and lowest education.

i realize that you're confused. no one expects more of you.

I always get confused on how folks in red states vote against policies that would help them in the long run. They cut education spending and have lowest test scores in the country. They cut funding for planned parenthood and opt for abstinence only education and have the highest teen pregnancy rates.

Red states would benefit the most from a universal healthcare system but they hate the idea because its "socialist"
Your first mistake is to think government helps people. How you could think that is truly amazing.

In the initial post I found the figures for percent of state GDP interesting along with the list of top contractors within the state. Report did a very nice job of conveying that information, thanks for sharing. On the other hand the State Welfare chart I found confusing and couldn't make heads or tails of.
Quick info hit...look at the map. Darker blue...more in billions for welfare.

What got me was the chart displayed state and local welfare spending but not federal aid. So I'm left wondering if these states that spend more on welfare themselves are less reliant on the federal government to pitch in and help? That's not a rhetoric question, I'm not trying to make a point of this because I don't know if that's a fact.

Lots of poor people in cities, many live on the street. I'd rather live in a trailer in rural America. Lots of bad education in the cities too so I don't know what left wing hate site you get your figures from. HuffPo?

If you hit "more" then hit "federal" and you get the federal $$$$. Blue states are at top of list.

Arkansas is a pretty red state. It doesn't have a lot of military bases. Go

The left know its a lie, if you think you can shame them by proving its a lie you are wrong. These people are lowlifes who embrace lying, half truths, twisting things out of context. They are proud of this.

Your chart just corresponds to populations by state.

Welfare recipients are 90% Democrat.

California gets the 2nd highest amount of defense spending, and yet still pays in more in federal taxes than it gets back.

So if its personally responsibility then why are their kids dumb as rocks? Why are they dying of diseases at abnormal rates. Red states have the highest infant mortality rate.

People should be personally responsible. However , you have to give people a chance and a headstart.

Not everyone can afford private education for their so they rely on public education. Our publication system use to be the best in the world. We should aim to make it that way. To have a quality of life you need an education. Giving children and young adults is a right and not a privilege.

Same goes for healthcare.

Realize that personal responsibility doesn't necessarily lead to equality of results. It allows for people placing their priorities where they believe is proper, not necessarily where others think they should be.

Also realize the rural nature of many of these Red states. That makes both education and health care (your 2 big issues) much more difficult to equalize than the largely urban Blue states. I've never seen a farmer concerned with Calculus, Trig, or Early Renaissance Art on a regular basis and these rural communities are often hotbeds for certain philosophical movements that may not be as interested in many of the latest medical techniques or ideas and definitely not capable of paying for them.

A Deep Dive Into Party Affiliation
White voters in South reject welfare. Federal government forces it into their state via African American population.
All they have is racist stereotypes of white southerners, not real data.

Well our healthcare is a total mess now, but this is what happens when more government gets involved.

As for education, it does need to change, but good luck getting rid of those unions out of public school, or having the curriculum set by the local school board and not the government. Kids need to learn how to prepare for the world--not just prepare for college because there are many kids that will not make it to college.

There is also a fact of how they decide what is a red or blue state. Usually they make that call by how a state voted for President and not the administration within those states. Since Trump won more states, they will now be considered red states and of course, receive more welfare.

Here you go communist. Oh, and BTW, the large percentage of blacks in the south drives up welfare spending. That's not being racist...it's the truth.

Ever hear of "federal matching funds?" Those blue state that spends billions on welfare are getting most of that from US taxpayers because they kiss WashingtonDC's pimp ring and whore themselves out. Giving up their essential states rights as ensconced in the Constitution.
