Liz Warren leading charge to forgive student debt, Navient pays $2 billion settlement for giving loans to students who cant pay them back

Doesn't Georgia use some kind of lottery tuition for a B average or better? Anyone know? This incentives good grades and some help with tuition.

Post high school training is necessary. Starting off at $20 isn't going to afford one food and shelter. Anymore.

Actually Of course it was Bush and Paulson who bailed out the banks and Democrats who bailed out main Street and State local governments, paying for the cops teachers etc etc. But thanks for starting the depression with your corrupt real estate bubble this time, brainwashed functional moron. The GOP does it every time -SNL crisis the pandemic OMG, the world depression of 1929, every time you get the chance stupid. Change the channel for God's sake...

Actually Of course it was Bush and Paulson who bailed out the banks

No Democrat votes for TARP?

But thanks for starting the depression with your corrupt real estate bubble this time,

No Democrats buying houses, making loans, pushing for more Fannie and Freddie purchases of subprime mortgages?

Of course we must tax the rich again and have cheap college and training so we can compete with other modern countries who all have that. The United States has fallen behind and is pathetic because it is GOP run the last 40 years.

The United States has fallen behind and is pathetic because the Dem twats have been useless the last 40 years.

Actually Clinton started the "corrupt real estate bubble" and Bush warned them it was going to collapse

It's in the best interests of our nation to help our people get educated. People that think like you and Orange are going to cause us to fall behind China. A strict policy of no collectivism ever is not compatible with the future. It's too binary and limiting. That way of thinking will definitely lose.

It's in the best interests of our nation to help our people get educated.

Yes!

So let's make all student loans go through the college.
If you can't or don't pay back your loan, the college eats the loss.

The new law is a good idea or a bad idea? Why?
I don't like it because crime needs to be taken seriously. I don't want criminals to not face consequences because that will encourage crime.

That's not the same as saying we'll just start shooting the poor people if they get too desperate without their food stamps.

I would like to avoid as much crime as possible, and the food stamps program helps achieve that.

But they say they're poor and desperate.
Besides, the stores have plenty of stuff.
Why are you criminalizing their desperation?

Unpaid Education Is for Teenagers Who Are Afraid to Grow Up. Students Live Like Slackers in Mom's Basement.

As a substitute for corporate taxes, businesses should recruit the smartest 18-year-olds and pay them a high salary plus tuition to study the subjects business needs. The present indentured servitude means buying a job. That puts inferior people in superior positions, especially those whose Daddies pay them a high allowance along with paying their tuition.

The smartest people should quit being gutless nerds and reject the present insult to intelligence. Ignore school and go into business for yourself.

Most graduates today had no more right to be in college than to be on the college football team, which takes talent, not brown-nosing by ambitious imbeciles. Sacrifice has no merit. Getting a job by going four years without a job is destructive, both for the graduate and the economy.

Back in the day, if a kid like Sonny Drysdale wanted to stay in school for an indeterminate amount of time, he had to have a well heeled parent like Milton.

Nowadays, its the taxpayers who are the suckers being taken advantage of.

Dems bailed out banks who made shitty loans that led to the housing bubble bursting in 2009. Why didn't those banks pay the people? Why did THE TAXPAYER BAIL OUT THE BANKS?

This victim mentality is terrible. YOU BORROWED THE FUCKING MONEY....it's on you to repay!

“Navient repeatedly and deliberately put profits ahead of its borrowers – it engaged in deceptive and abusive practices, targeted students who it knew would struggle to pay loans back, and placed an unfair burden on people trying to improve their lives through education,” Shapiro said. “Today’s settlement corrects Navient’s past behavior, provides much needed relief to Pennsylvania borrowers, and puts in place safeguards to ensure this company never preys on student loan borrowers again.”

Republicans did as well. Republicans were pushing these shitty loans as well.

Navient is a criminal enterprise. It steered their customers into forbearance rather than other options such as IBRP. Under forbearance, interest continues to pile up. The RICO statutes should have been used against Navient. It also shows the difference between the parties. Democrats look out for the little guy while Republicans look out for big busainess over the little guy.

It was all another GOP corrupt bubble of deregulation like they do every time. Democrats have little to do with it. They go along sometimes... Like Fanny and Freddy after a while went along with the countrywide and other GOP cronies.... By that time they had some GOP swine in control of that.

It's not very smart if it makes you look dumb.
Regardless, you should always proofread your post before publishing it.
Otherwise grammar nazis like me will mock you.
