Both sides (whoever they are) do not want the public to forget anything. The Democrats want to change the rules so conservatives cannot organize effective political opposition. Republicans are resisting that infringement on the 1A.

In a court room, that might be true. But you have already been accused of crimes if you're in a court room. However, a congressional hearing is not a criminal trial. No one presumes the testimony of any person testifying to incriminate them of crimes. Therefor, when people take the Fifth in such circumstances, it's perfectly reasonable to assume that such people are hiding something.

The problem with the partisan left is that they would defend Obama even if they showed video of him on the 5 o'clock news molesting a 5-year-old boy on the capital steps.
