We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.So you agree with my assertion that it is the duty of every citizen to support and promote the general welfare?

What exactly words mean is always debatable. That's why we have dictionaries. Therefore, stating "Exactly what those words mean remains debatable" is saying exactly nothing. People demanding food rights is no harder to understand than people having food fights.“as long as an individual does not commit trespassing, theft, poaching or other abuses of private property rights, public lands or natural resources in the harvesting, production or acquisition of food.”
