The Muskogee County sheriff said he wasn’t surprised someone had been hurt by the volunteer patrol after watching them work, comparing the patrols to the fictional clan from “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

“I saw several of those gentlemen out there yesterday,” said Sheriff Charles Pearson. “The way they were holding their weapons, with the fingers on the triggers, you can tell a couple of these gentlemen have no idea about weapons safety. It’s like the Clampetts have come to town.”

yes....then there was the police chief.....took out his gun to compare it to a gun at the gun store, put it back in his holster....felt a tug on his jacket as he was browsing the merchandise...pulled on his jacket to un snag it......the jacket pull string had gotten into the trigger guard, hence the tugging, when he pulled he shot himself in the leg......

The first people to be disarmed should be the police..........

If all you have is one misfired weapon that injured the arm of the man who dropped it, I'd say you've failed.

Not a gun grabber...in fact I own several guns, some jointly with my daughter who is turning into quite the shooter....but this is a funny story about people with no clue.

That's why guns should be banned. There are too many retards who have no idea how to use them properly. The problem is that they are the most vocal ones from all gun owners. It would be better to take away all guns.

You would be better off getting rid of your bath tub and making sure you don't fall...they kill far more people accidentally than guns do....
