He's not wrong. And before you ask, Yes. Yes I did 23 years in fact. My wife did as well, she's got 20. Oh and my brother did as well 22 years. Is that enough time in the Marine Corps to have an opinion on the matter?

Then you should know that the Marine Corps is constantly changing and adapting to the current society. I did 20 years in the Corps and those joining when I got out were very different than when I joined. There was always the "old Corps vs new Corps", everything thought their version was the best.

The taught of the matter is there was no "best" only different but still Marines.

A good friend of mine son graduated boot camp in Aug. I was talking to him when he was home on Recruiter Assistance and boot camp was very different than when I went in 1988. It was not worse or better, just different, but the end result was the same.
