Mask math

If one were to form a math equation about how many times larger the effective holes are when layering masks, what other information would need to be known besides the distance between the masks and if the masks all used the same fabric?
If one wears glasses and wishes to see whether their mask is effective, one need only to place the mask upside down and exhale. A mask that would otherwise stop moisture will effectively relay steam up and covering the inside lenses until the mask is returned to right side up position in which the thin wire may be properly pressed down to prevent steam from fogging the glasses as well as preventing the transfer of the virus that has a very short life without H2O, its principle transference agent, to the best of my knowledge. Please do not use this test if you are driving an automobile. Thx.

What made you think the opening post had anything to do with the effectiveness of masks?

Fauci was also part of the Aids crisis:

This guy is worse then a weatherman. It is astonishing how he still has a job.
You would think that, after he spent $7.4 million of our money for China to study the virus, he might have actually taken the time to learn something about it.....

Dr. Fauci Backed Controversial Wuhan Lab with U.S. Dollars for Risky Coronavirus Research (newsweek.com)

But just last year, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses.

In 2019, with the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health committed $3.7 million over six years for research that included some gain-of-function work. The program followed another $3.7 million, 5-year project for collecting and studying bat coronaviruses, which ended in 2019, bringing the total to $7.4 million.

The work entailed risks that worried even seasoned researchers. More than 200 scientists called for the work to be halted. The problem, they said, is that it increased the likelihood that a pandemic would occur through a laboratory accident.
They took a horseshoe bat respiratory virus, and genetically engineered it to be able to infect humans by splicing HIV genomes into it.

And that's just what we know about.

What else did they engineer into this bioweapon? :dunno:

The masks aren't there to stop the virus but to stop the droplets in breath (sneezes, coughs, etc.) that the virus uses as a vehicle.
You should start a thread about this.

Because nothing is effective if you wake up in the front seat of your car with another car's front end attached because your glasses are fogged up from your covid mask. Do you frequently use the term
"dur-r-r-r" in debate with someone twice as smart as you?

Now Fauci flips flops AGAIN!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

There have been a few threads recently where the idea of two, three, four, or more masks be used, and now I want to know how the math works. If the holes or pores on a mask that are intended to trap a virus are 1000 times larger than the virus, how would one calculate how many times larger the effective holes would be for two, three, four, or more masks stacked together?

ASK NOT young padawan, just trust they Leader to lead thee out of the forest of Covid misery! (BTW, I can fix you up with a deal for 100 chinese made N59 masks for a cool $259.95, make check payable to Biden Fearless Leader Industries for a Greener Delaware Home)

My calculations for the layering of a typical cloth mask where the pores or holes that are meant to trap a virus that is approximately 1000 times smaller is as follows:
1 mask: Holes are 1000 times larger than the virus
2 masks: Effective hole size is 900 times larger than the virus.
3 masks: Effective hole size is 800 times larger than the virus.
4 masks: Effective hole size is 700 times larger than the virus.
