Months away from becoming the new US President, Donald Trump is getting a running start at disparaging America with lies and becoming a general embarrassment to his country. Trump's ego and the inner voice in his head that talks to him have convinced the Donald that the fact that the majority of American citizens that voted in the Presidential election did not actually vote for him is a conspiracy against him personally. Millions more Americans cast their ballots for his opponent, but America uses a voting process that allows a candidate without a majority popular vote to win the election if the process is manipulated.

The world is watching.and much of it is freaking out in disbelief.

The Electoral College system allows those states with smaller populations and smaller cities to also have a voice in the election. If it was reduced to a popularity vote only, only the huge cities would be choosing the candidates and it would end with only one party, that party which had the large cities in their control. The smaller towns and rural areas would basically, not have a say.

First disbelief in "sight from world" is - how Clinton got about two millions votes over, after voting? :) Thanks to US, we have democracy and voting all over the world and also know, how easy to "recount" votes "somewhere there", without needless attention of someone...

It seems to have little if any effect on preventing a mentally ill pathological liar from becoming a President.

Well, the founding fathers did make the qualifications for running for president, pretty Spartan, at least 35 years of age, a naturalized U.S. citizen and had lived in the country for at least 14 years. Thus, pretty much any bozo can run for the office and now, we have coming into the office, the equivalent of P.T. Barnum. I couldn't stomach him and thus didn't vote for him, but then again, his opponent was even worse, so I chose, for the first time in my voting life, not vote for a presidential candidate this time around. As a "centrist" I want to see a candidate that stays in the middle on issues, not go too far one way or another.

You might want to read Article 2 again, so you don't look like a fucking fool.

Trump did not win the election with a majority of votes. He won it with a minority of votes. The individual independent voters rejected him.

The electoral college is what determines the winner. You can bleat about that until the sun implodes, but it won't change the outcome.

Bottom line: We won. You lost. Now get in the back and shut the fuck up.

It is not fair to penalize those who live in the Larger cities. Whoever wins the popular vote should win. How is it fair to penalize the majority? This sounds like a Bleeding Heart Liberal idea.

The majority didn't vote for Hillary either so your logic is lacking. Par for the course for you though.

As has been said many times already, the campaign was designed to secure EC votes so you don't know what the outcome would have been with a popular vote system. Very obviously liberals would LOVE the pop vote so the big cities can micromanage the rest of America. But the rest of America said no and you need 3/4th of the states to amend the Constitution. It ain't happening.

Why should big lib cities penalize the rest of America? We don't all live in big cities because we don't all want big city life. Duh.

It is not penalizing, it is majority wins.

Doubt it....if you subtract all the illegal votes and votes from those duped by the biased liberal media, then add in all the Ds who refused to vote for POTUS or voted third party essentially voting for Trump...he wins in a landslide.

get off it, the reality is that the EC in california was not able to give credit to the illegals votes. Thats a good thing. You want a recount that people will get behind? recount california and get rid of the votes from the illegals, you might find that Trump won California too.
How stupid does the leadership of a party have to be to try and rig the election by flooding a state that they already will win with illegal votes. Had those votes been case in other states the outcome would have been much different.
