Michael Cohen office raided by FBI

There was no campaign contribution.

Mueller has never found anything. He has not even found a crime that did not arise out of his own questioning. What he is doing is trying to carry his investigation to everyone Trump has ever known just to keep himself relevant. Will anything Mueller found survive a motion to suppress? Democrats don't care. It's good for months of gossip.

Isn't this the same shit done to Bill Clinton? Yes. What goes around comes around.

Not even close.

Give me a fucking break they investigated one thing that led to another.

Trump was not a sitting president when he boned the airhead and he hasn't lied under oath.
Trump was the nominee for President when she was bribed to keep her mouth shut. At the very same time Trump was parading Clinton's accusers in front of the cameras to divert attention away from his pussy grabbing tape.

And this quite possibly violated campaign finance laws.

All caught up now?
....and that's how Putin made me flip my vote, er, or something

Your tu quoque point about Clinton in a Trump topic?

When it's used to benefit the campaign, it's all relevant.
So, all the information in every one of Cohen's client files is relevant to this inquiry?

Wow.

Liberalism is officially dead in America. Overrun by commies and other Statist Authoritarians.

Unbelievable.
Poor thing, have another tissue...

Noone can understand why you keep referring to Progressives?????

Do you know the definition of "snowflake" as used in modern times as a political innuendo?

Maybe we should call you a Trumptard??? Are you?

Attorney-client privilege ends when the lawyer starts breaking the law.

Trump/Cohen better call Saul
What law did Cohen break? You know he hasn't been charged with any crime.

Prosecutors would love to be able to raid lawyer's offices. They would do it in every case.

This is Mueller rolling it all. If he is wrong, his career is over along with a goodly chunk of the FBI.

A warrant requires probable cause that a crime or crimes have been committed, fool.
no, you must state what the crime is you're going after. so what is the crime?

It hasn't been released yet, dope.

We do know however that there certainly was probable cause.
Probable cause based on what? What's the crime?

A search warrant is based on an affidavit that would give probably cause to believe a crime has been committed and the subject of the warrant has committed that crime.

What's the crime?

How come NO ONE in this country investigated so far, with the exception of Paul Manafort has been accused of a crime other than crimes arising out of the questioning process. Not one person.

Holy shit, you guys have the logical thinking ability of a turnip.

We don't know what crime(s) was used as probable cause to obtain a warrant. That information has not been reported.

What we do know is that it has to exist as a warrant was most definitely issued and executed.

How about conspiracy to commit campaign financing violations?

If Trump conspired with his lawyer to arrange for the payment to Stormy to keep her quiet before the election, and specifically had the lawyer pay rather than Trump in order to prevent any direct link to Trump.
What does that have to do with other clients? Why does the FBI get to dig into all of their shit?

That's what pisses me off. This is some bullshit.

A motion for a clean team has already been made. A judge is going to have to appoint a team to go through, paper by paper, to separate out everything subject to Attorney Client Privilege, for Trump and for everyone else too.

Any chance of Trump voluntarily sitting down and answering questions is dead in the water now.

Well I will bow out of this thread- since we know virtually nothing more than we knew when the thread was started.

I suspect that whatever does happen- that this will be a watershed moment.

Mr. Cohen is at the center of several aspects of the special counsel’s investigation. He also acknowledged paying $130,000 to Stephanie Clifford, who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump.

The F.B.I. on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to a pornographic-film actress.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, according to Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.” The search does not appear to be directly related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation, but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.

“Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” said Stephen Ryan, his lawyer. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

Apparently involves Stormy Daniels - and more.

Make no mistake this no knock raid is not about Stormy Daniels.

Robert Mueller could care less about her. Remember that Trump's business records were subpoenaed recently. He's had them for about 2 months now. Mueller has had time to go over those, and Michael Cohen has been very good at setting up shell corporations for Trump--like he did in Delaware over the payment to Stormy Daniels.
Trump lawyer used shell company to pay off ex-porn star: report

Cohen being Trump's personal attorney for decades has a lot of stuff on Trump.

It's the equivalent of J. Edgar Hoover grabbing Al Capone's accountant, and getting the books.

May well be the case- we just are completely speculating.

But he managed to convince a judge to violate the lawyer privilege- so I bet it will turn out to be 'something'

It takes quite a bit to convince a judge to issue a no knock search warrant, which is what happened with Paul Manafort also.
With a Picked Lock and a Threatened Indictment, Mueller’s Inquiry Sets a Tone

Al Capone was at least charged with a crime. No one has been charged with a crime.

Several of Trump's mafia have been charged with crimes - and some have plead guilty. Now, Mueller is working on the head of the snake.

And Mueller stayed out of it. He referred the matter to the US attorneys so whatever he's looking for, it has nothing to do with him or what he's doing.

Who cares about ATTORNEY CLIENT PRIVILEGE . Democrats are savages and for anyone to have such deep rooted hatred for a President really proves how psychotic the left is.
They are one step away from being the political Jeffery Daumer. After all the love abortions that kill a human,

My take: Mueller is trying to goad Trump into firing him.

"I dare you to fire me. I double-dare you!"

It is the only possible motive for this outrageous, illegal action.
What’s illegal about it?

"B-b-b-b-b-b-but Clinton!"

You're welcome.

This raid must have been very serious if a federal judge signed off on it.
By that reasoning, all raids are serious.
The fact that the warrant authorized a search of an attorney's offices is a better indicator of the seriousness of the matter than is that a judge signed off on the warrant.
