Michigan Sheriff: Militia Suspects May Have Merely Been Attempting To 'Arrest' Whitmer

I certainly hate this bitch because she is an utter fascist, but our whole system of governance means nothing if we allow any fringe group to run around "arresting" people.

We have police for that sort of thing.
What if the police are not there?

Whitmer has possibly committed millions of felonies and the state police are doing nothing. Unlawful imprisonment is a felony in Michigan. And Whitmer's stay at home order constitutes unlawful imprisonment.
Are you a comedy writer for the Onion????? I mean you just have to be.....
The constitution doesn’t change. And there aren’t two rules.. she has to be arrested to face charges.. we will see can’t arrest 100 million of us

What kind of moron thinks anyone can go to a governor’s home, kidnap them and call it a citizen arrest? Under that Sheriff’s logic when Trump rolls into town, a group of citizens can attempt to arrest and kidnap him because he is corrupt. The Sheriff should be fired for his stupendous ignorance.
The Sheriff is correct. A citizens arrest is legal in Michigan under certain circumstances.

THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE (EXCERPT)
Act 175 of 1927

764.16 Arrest by private person; situations.

Sec. 16.

A private person may make an arrest—in the following situations:
(a) For a felony committed in the private person's presence.
(b) If the person to be arrested has committed a felony although not in the private person's presence.
(c) If the private person is summoned by a peace officer to assist the officer in making an arrest.
(d) If the private person is a merchant, an agent of a merchant, an employee of a merchant, or an independent contractor providing security for a merchant of a store and has reasonable cause to believe that the person to be arrested has violated section 356c or 356d of the Michigan penal code, Act No. 328 of the Public Acts of 1931, being sections 750.356c and 750.356d of the Michigan Compiled Laws, in that store, regardless of whether the violation was committed in the presence of the private person.
None of those circumstances apply here.
Anyone whose brain is bigger than a dust mote would agree with you.
And yet your dust mote is voting for biden. How do chinamen vote?
Get off the internet grandpa. Ma wants to make a phone call.

Who says Chinamen in 2020?
Apparently you and I say chinamen. It sounds better then calling them yellow fiends.

That's just your opinion. Unlawful imprisonment is a felony in Michigan. Many people hold the opinion that her stay at home order falsely imprisoned them.

It’s a rational opinion. This silly sheriff is just looking for a way to save his own skin because he was loosely associated with some of them.

You can now always count on some one coming forward to dispute facts, our inability to police the negative unlawful actions of any of those we call our own. We are destroying what ever greatness America attempted to form it self on.

Yes wingers have ruined the nation.

Stop entertaining these dumb ass Trump sycophants....the OP doesn't even believe the bullshit he is saying -- he just thinks it's funny to gaslight rational minded people because it makes him giggle like the little bitch he is...
