NewsGuard, which is the establishment media’s latest effort to blacklist alternative media sites, is giving its sign of approval to proven hoaxes, even to stories that have been retracted.
Microsoft is so desperate to spread fake news and blacklist ideas it doesn’t like, NewsGuard is automatically included in one of its browsers.

You will find more examples below, but here is NewsGuard’s seal of approval (on the Google search page) for Rolling Stone’s 2014 hoax about a gang rape at the University of Virginia (UVA)....

Rolling Stone (which NewsGuard gave a passing grade) was eventually forced to retract the story and settle some lawsuits, but the far-left HuffPost’s aggregation of Rolling Stone’s proven lie is still live, and that green checkmark is NewsGuard’s way of telling readers they are reading something credible:...

You see, when you do a Google search of stories, NewsGuard and Microsoft use the green checkmark to tell you what is and is not credible, what is and is not blacklisted, and this is NewsGuard giving the green light to a story that was so fake, it had to be retracted.

Rod saw this was added to his computer this morning and he deleted it and said 'f, bing and microsoft'. Fox news is an extension of propaganda pushers too. Most generally it is just another outlet to push for whomever has the money. They keep a few people we like onboard knowing they'd get the full boot just like the anti's at CNN if they didn't.

do they enable it for me? i shouldn't have to turn off things i never turned on like this. like SPAM - if you want off our list just do xyz - hell i never asked to be on it why should i have to work to get off of it?

i've not used an MS browser beyond a quick website check in years so no idea what this is. regardless of whether or not you can disable it, microsoft is not the end all be all of the truth.

since EDGE has less than 4% of the market (likely servers that won't allow additional software to be installed makes up a lot of this) i think the market has told MS to FOAD with browsers.

The point should be that each person needs to be proactive in their consumption of information. Make the information known that these companies are doing this and that YOU, as a user of the software, can stop them by simply disabling their attempted censorship. But first, YOU, as the user of the software, must be aware of what you can do about it first.
