If he refused to give his ID the cop cannot force you to give it up unless he can show where a crime was committed. I see that all the time in my neighborhood and drove around three cars yesterday that were stopped and talking to people. Could they had been selling drugs? Maybe but it is not against the law to stop and talk to people. Your putting way too much into it. The cop broke the law and went against procedure if he suspected anything illegal was going down. And when the cop showed up nobody ran off they talked for a bit then the guy rounded the corner. Not really the kind a thing illegal behavior would suggest they do. The cop was right at the point where he asked for license and registration. But he violated the passengers rights and instigated the scene. If he refused to give his ID the cop cannot force you to give it up unless he can show where a crime was committed. The passenger should had been free to go that is the law if he got out and walked away that would be his right as a citizen of the United states.

What crime? He was a passenger, he did not illegally park the car ~20 inches too far from the curb, the driver did. The passenger had nothing to do with the parking violation.

Sean Corey here. Not Orange...hate the British. Not Black.. no Spanish blood. I would have to say I do have one beef with my ancestors. Some of them became Protestants. I would have to answer Green because as far as I can trace the Coreys we have lived in Ireland. I don't have every nuance uncovered though. I'm not that hung up on minutia. Some Irish got tired of being associated with just being poor so they reluctantly became Protestant. Me, I never would have done this just to have a softer life. I despise all Christian religion so on several levels religion be it Roman Catholic or Protestant it offends my sense of freedom. If it were possible to look back to the time before the Romans invaded I could see being hooked up in some form of Druid like appreciation of my home land. That would also account for a penchant for trials by fire, ice and water which have always drawn me throughout my time here.

The Catholic Irish are the second oldest religious association. In any case making claim to the land based on competing forms of Christianity is a false choice. The Christians did not make the land nor those that came before them.

I am not a racist in the sense that you seem hung up on. But yes I tell blacks face to face almost every day much worse than you would be comfortable with. Maybe it will be my undoing ...maybe not. I'm past the age of retirement and I'm still here. There have been many blacks over the years that have not heeded my advice and many of them are no longer drawing breath. To be fair I have been no more of less kind to all races and many of them are no longer here either. My conclusion after watching all this is that stupidity is unhealthy. Of that there is no doubt.
