Mueller told Barr his memo failed to fully capture "context/nature/substance" of Mueller's probe

Its Barr's report. Mueller works for Barr. WTF is Mueller whining about, if he wanted to be more specific he knows how to write. The answer is "No collusion, no obstruction".
If the dems want to impeach, go for it, otherwise STFU already.

Partisan hacks, of which you are a proud member, cannot and will not believe Barr 's memo was fiction, fiction created to protect Trump.

If it was fiction, why did Mueller say that nothing in the Attorney General’s March 24 letter was inaccurate or misleading?

Nice job of cherry-picking what Mueller said. Maybe you should read the thread title very slowly.

Did Mueller say that Barr's letter was inaccurate or misleading?

Barr does not have any authority to CHANGE Special Counsel Mueller's final report. Therefore, Barr has no authority to LIE about it.
Oh fuck off. The report had a summary and has been released. Go read into it whatever the hell you think you want to. Barr didn't change anything you moron.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III expressed his concerns in a letter to William P. Barr after the attorney general publicized Mueller's principal conclusions. Mueller also pressed Barr in a phone call to release executive summaries of his report.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III wrote a letter in late March complaining to Attorney General William P. Barr that a four-page memo to Congress describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work, according to a copy of the letter reviewed Tuesday by The Washington Post.

At the time the letter was sent on March 27, Barr had announced that Mueller had not found a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russian officials seeking to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Barr also said Mueller had not reached a conclusion about whether Trump had tried to obstruct justice, but Barr reviewed the evidence and found it insufficient to support such a charge.

Days after Barr’s announcement, Mueller wrote a previously unknown private letter to the Justice Department, which revealed a degree of dissatisfaction with the public discussion of Mueller’s work that shocked senior Justice Department officials, according to people familiar with the discussions.

Good for Mueller speaking out about his report being twisted by Barr.
Ask Dershowitz about the context of the probe...especially volume two.

Mueller did no such thing...a few low level Trump haters on his staff did...but Mueller didn't...he would be stupid to do that...it would show his evil intention to undo a sitting president....

Mueller is going to testify this week in Congress.
That would be my first question, "Do you agree or disagree with the Barr summary of your report?"

I was LONG waiting for Mueller to speak up.......Even the redacted, released report makes Barr's "summary" seem like the fat moron's conclusion, a paid-for piece of obfuscation by a full-fledged Trump STOOGE.....

Barr..........especially if he fails to testify before the House judiciary committee will face impeachment....and THAT is much better than Trump's impeachment chatter (Mnuchin???.........are you listening??)................LOVE IT !!!
How the hell did you type while jerking off so hard? You still have nothing you idiot. How do you impeach someone for issuing a report their underling give them? In case you didn't know that's how all of this works.

Barr performed exactly as advertised; he gave Trump a four week head start in the court of public opinion.

Mueller Objected to Barr’s Description of Russia Investigation’s Findings

"A central issue in the simmering dispute is how the public’s understanding of the Mueller report has been shaped since the special counsel ended his investigation and delivered his 448-page report on March 22 to the attorney general, his boss and longtime friend.

"The four-page letter that Mr. Barr sent to Congress two days later gave little detail about the special counsel’s findings and created the impression that Mr. Mueller’s team found no wrongdoing, allowing Mr. Trump to declare he had been exonerated."

Barr's letter concluded no obstruction and no collusion. That is the bottom line of Barr's letter.

Mueller's said that Barr's letter was not misleading or inaccurate. He doesn't like the context of letter.

Fine.

But, how can Mueller state that Barr's letter is accurate and not misleading if he believers Barr's conclusions are misleading and inaccurate? He can't. He didn't like the delivery, but the letter is still accurate. Mueller stated so himself.

  1. Mueller describes the investigation as beginning when “a foreign government contacted the FBI about a May 2016 encounter with Trump Campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos.
  2. Mueller writes, had “suggested to a representative of that foreign government that the Trump Campaign had received indications from the Russian government that it could assist the Campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.”
  3. Barr wrote: “The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election. As the report states: ‘[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.’” Here’s what Mueller actually wrote: “The investigation also identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump Campaign. Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

When Barr pressed him whether he thought Barr’s letter was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not, but felt that the media coverage of the letter was misinterpreting the investigation, officials said.
