Native American Tribe Cancels Ted Nugent Concert Due To "Racist, Hate-Filled Remarks"

Does this story about Nugent really belong in politics? :dunno:

Yes, it belongs in politics because of all the hateful, racist things Nugent has said about President Obama and Hillary Clinton - plus the fact that he is a political activist who has campaigned on behalf of various Republican/Tea Party candidates and is also a spokesman for the NRA.

Connect the dots, sparky.

Meh, you grant him more legitimacy than he deserves. Nugent is a musician who happens to be politically active. There are plenty of those.

I just think this particular incident was not political and, since Nugent is not particularly important in politics, putting it here was a bit silly. I'd have gone with Media or Current Events.

Maybe I just think of this as an example of how we politicize everything, even when it doesn't merit it. :dunno:

Maybe not a good idea to book his show there...

Can you imagine living with so much HATE for a frikken musician.

man what a horrible life and loser

Love Uncle Ted. He is an outspoken advocate for individual liberty...which is why the Left hates him.

I grew up in Detroit and saw him in concert several times opening for bigger acts, when tickets were under $10. He often opened for bigger acts. He owned Detroit then.

This was his best tune IMO.

The man, similar to Palin, gets too much time in the spotlight, merely for spouting out outrageous comments to anyone who listens! Same can be said for people on the left as well, they're just not as well known.

WORLEY, Idaho (AP) — A Native American tribe has canceled an Aug. 4 concert by Ted Nugent at its casino.

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe on Monday said that the cancellation of the concert at the casino in the northwest Idaho city of Worley was because of what it called the rocker's "racist and hate-filled remarks."

The tribe says it booked Nugent without realizing he espoused "racist attitudes and views." The tribe did not detail which of Nugent's specific views it opposes.

Good. However, I'm a little surprised the tribe didn't already know about Nugent's "racist attitudes and views."

This thread is political because of all the hateful, racist things Nugent has said about President Obama and Hillary Clinton - plus the fact that he is a political activist who has campaigned on behalf of various Republican/Tea Party candidates and is also a spokesman for the NRA.
remember when a casino canceled Linda Ronstat in NAVADA because she made a coment about Bush???? well pay backs are a bitch... if you want then to shut up then you hit their pockets... and the nudge just took a hit... in my Day of doing sound for bands the nudge is one I refused tio set up or do the sound for him... I was sick that day

Call it relevance. He may be a lowlife piece of shit, but you are giving his words more of a platform for people to see and making it seem you find what he says important.

I don't give a crap what Ted Nugent says. Even if I agreed with him, I wouldn't really give a crap what he said, unless perhaps it was about music. That's my point; what has Nugent done to consider him enough of a political force that anything he does is related to politics?

Like I said, Current Events, Media, or Race/Race Relations seem like more appropriate forums for this to me. Whether Ted Nugent plays for a Native American tribe or not has pretty much zero effect on politics in this country.

This isn't an important enough point for me to continue with, so I'll just leave it here. We can agree to disagree.

I thought they cancelled because they got drunk on whiskey and gave the concert site away for a few more bottles.

Yes, I do consider his words important - because of asshole/retarded Conservative/Teabaggers who defend/worship him. I want sane people to see him for what he is - as well as those who defend/worship him.

How can you hate on a guy who sings "Wang dang Sweet poontang, shakin my thang with a ranga danga dang do do do do do?" Buncha haters.

Well, he's probably not the only pervert who sings such songs.

I wonder if the tribe knows about Patriotic Ted's draft dodging record?

Patriotic American Ted Nugent Shit His Pants to Avoid the Draft

I wonder if they know about Bill Clinton's?

Oh, is this a Bill Clinton thread?
Yeah you have never brought up someone who wasn't the topic of the thread have you? However if that is the rule you want fine when the topic is Obama no more Bush or Reagan post from the left. And FYI the topic was about the casino cancelling Nugent over racist comments not draft dodging if your really all about being true to the original topic of the thread then you never should have brought draft dodging into it.

I perused this thread and I might have missed it, but what did Nugent say that's racist?
