New house speaker's latest financial disclosure

Of nothing. All you know from that is that he has his money somewhere you can't see it, and that's not a crime.
So we have evidence that he’s hiding money and you think that’s “nothing”?

Mike Johnson's finances are obviously under a lot of stress.

He has to maintain two homes. One in his district and one in DC.

He has two kids in college. College isn't cheap.

He has a mortgage and a HELOC. The HELCO suggests financial stress.

He is also a very religious man. Chances are he tithes 10 percent of his income to his church.

If a Congresscritter has their money in a non-interest bearing account, they don't have to disclose it.

There isn't a shred of evidence he is "hiding" anything.

I think it's not a crime until someone can show me a law that's being broken by someone who simply keeps his money out of public sight.

Keeping money away from hostile prying eyes that have no business seeing it is not a crime. That's your problem, you want something you don't understand to be a crime so he is forced to show you where his money is in order for you to complain about it. That's not how this works. Again, what CRIME is being committed here that warrants all this angst and handwaving?

It’s not a crime for Joe Biden to have a son who does business with foreign entities. It didn’t stop you from making unsubstantiated accusations.

But we do have business seeing them since he’s an elected official with a duty to disclose his finances like everyone else.

Quid Pro Joe got very wealthy very quickly and his son was getting very lucrative jobs with little experience or credentials. It behooves us to know if he was selling access to his office.

What crime is being committed, what law is being broken?

Getting rich “quickly” is illegal?

When are we going to find out about the corruption associated with the Chinese, Russians and Ukrainians making the Potatohead family filthy ass rich?

.

Shows no assets. Not even a checking account. Nothing. Zero assets. No investments, no properties, nothing.

Seems pretty unlikely, don't you think? A congressman, even a back bencher, with no assets at all? Used to be a lawyer, won some pretty big settlements too, where is it all?

You don't recognize an honest politician when you see one after being a member of the democrat party....

If he was selling access to the office of the VP, as it appears his son was doing, there is a problem. Is the Speaker living beyond his means as a congresscritter, buying multiple expensive houses, driving expensive cars, etc.? IOW, simply having his money out of your sight is not a crime, nor is there any indication that he committed one. Now if you can credibly accuse him of an actual crime, then we can investigate. Short of that, no.

I think that's their real problem with him, they can't fathom someone who doesn't use his office to get very wealthy, very fast, like coming into office in debt and being worth tens of millions a few short years later, as another Representative has done.

There‘s no indication that Joe Biden took any bribes but it didn’t stop you from wanting an investigation.
