Nine Million American Male Citizens Still Cannot Find Suitable Work

And they're going to compete with the rest of the developed world without an education in college or trade school? What is the republican solution? Oh'yesss, we hate those places and we believe that the American male should pick berries 12 hours per day or mow lawns the illegals use to do. lol

I have a white American male that mows my lawn. He does quite a few lawns in this area. He seems pretty happy with the arrangement.

Why do you want to give his job to some Mexican?

I hear your complaint, what is your solution? A billion dollar wall, paid for by the Mexican Government?

Fair question, let me give you an honest answer:

I do not KNOW what will fix this situation but it seems the underlying causes are:
1. demoralization - most of them have given up
2. Age discrimination - I know it exists but they dont say that you are too old they just dont hire you despite you being very qualified for the job.
3. too many immigrants of similar skill sets that work much cheaper
4. skills of the older Americans being a bit antiquated, giving corproations an HR excuse to not hire them

So I would try:
1. Encouragement via recruitment notices, hiring workshop invitations, personal contact from local volunteers
2. Pursue Age Discrimination complaints with EEOC and DoJ if necessary
3. Reduce immigration untill Americans of relevant profession are fully employed
5. Offer grants to Older Americans seeking job training to refresh their skill sets.

Why are we only concerned about males not finding work? What decade is this? The 40s, 50s?

Oh, shut up and get back in the kitchen.

And bring me another beer while your at it.

Well we can be sure the new tax cut and job growth bill will take care of it.

It will help to take food away from these lazy men and perhaps take their home as well. Lets not give them healthcare either. Those that do not work do not eat, remember. Those lazy butt men need to take the bull by the horns and get up out of their lazy chairs and get to work.
Luke 6:
37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
46 Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

I find that there's a lot of good passage in the bible that counterdic the conservatives at every turn. ;)
On the other hand the bible tells slaves to obey their masters. There`s something for the conservatives too!

Not a single Democrat voted to lower taxes. lol

A new evolution to the idiot-gram; the ignorant-gram.

Which Dimocrats voted for this tax decrease?

All I have read is that they are fighting it tooth and nail.

Of course, why wouldn't they? The bill has an artificial date made by Trump and was rushed through the Congress without any input from the D's, or public hearings. The hurry is because Ryan and the R Caucus know they will be dubbed the do-nothing Congress if they fail to pass this tax bill, having failed in their promise to repeal and replace Obamacare; of course being pols their first priority is to keep their own job and Ryan among others don't want another albatross tied to their necks.

The current fact is, the vote by the H. or Rep. is voided, and they will need to vote again because Ryan in his hast, brought a bill forward which did not follow the rules of the Senate. They and he could not even figure out how to pass a bill with only 50 votes in the Senate. It seems the incompetence in the White House has infected the H. or Rep. Sad.

He didn't say "citizens". That word was added by the poster. The typical democrat solution is to unionize the workers to extort money from the small business owners that are barely getting by but deemed "rich" by Obama elitists. No surprises here.

It should play well with the voters, dontcha think?

We will know as soon as November 2018. BTW, not a single Democrat voted for a bill to raise the nation debt by an estimated 1.5 Trillion Dollars. Funny how short term is the memory of so many Republicans, they ought to forsake the Elephant and adopt a flip flopping Tuna on the Deck of a sinking economy. (sometimes a mixed metaphor is useful)

You would need a measurable IQ to know what a democrat solution is. Small business owners often have friends and family emplo

$1.5 trillion is pocket change next to a whopping $9 trillion+.

And with all the jobs and corporations hiring because of that horrid Dem enemy, tax cuts...well, voting against helping Americans might not play so good. No matter how often they change the subject.

Tissue? Seriously, do you really hate labor unions, and seek a return to the Gilded Age?

Extortion is a crime, using loaded words in this ^^^ context is a logical fallacy, i.e. an appeal to emotion.

The topic is immigration. The R's make the laws, they control The Congress and the White House.

Q. When will Ryan or McConnell put forth a comprehensive reform of the law of Immigration?

To Digress: The claim that tax cuts will help all Americans is absurd, it is Voodoo Economics / Trickle Down theory packaged as reform. A theory which doesn't even qualify as one, it is a platitude no matter how they choose to market it.

[platitude: a remark or statement, especially one with a moral content, that has been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful]

Trump's promise it will benefit all Americans is nothing more than false pathos, echoed by members of the callous conservative caucus.

Look at the CETA*** Program, and expand it to include private sector and public sector jobs
***During the Carter Administration, spending for Department of Labor jobs and training programs totaled about $34 billion, more than a two and a half fold increase over the amount of funds spent for employment and training activities during the period 1973-1976. Each year during President Carter's term in office about 4 million economically disadvantaged persons received training and job opportunities under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act alone.
U.S. Department of Labor -- History -- Employment and Training Administration (ETA)

Expand high school to grades 13 & 14 preparing students for a career, develop a polytechnic curriculum, not all students want, need, care about or are capable of a 4-year degree. This might employ retired workers who can share their experience as PT lecturers, and other guest managers and worker bees sharing why they choose the career they are now working in and what is required to meet their MQ's.

Consider, Keeping local government open 7 days a week, this might create more jobs in recreation as it would create a 4-day week end. Doing so will expand the number of government employees; those who use and those who provide these services will support Main St. American businesses. Many downtowns are nearly deserted on Sat and Sun.

The tax cut/job creation bill will not increase the deficit dude.

you are engaging in static analysis.

The topic is jobs. Along with deporting millions of illegal job takers and building a wall to prevent their easy return...two OTHER issues the Dems have proved to be on the wrong side of...their singularity in denying Americans the chance to keep their own money might be another Dem loser.

Explain to me your alternative analysis, how and why will cutting taxes reduce the nation's annual deficit spending, and the increase in the debt?

How will this provide jobs in the US? Trump's promises fall very far short of his claims, and Ryan's promises are betting on the come. If snake eyes or box cars suddenly appear, the GOP will lose all political capital.

BTW: Taxes paid, fix roads, provide professional police, fire and EMT services, teach our kids, jail criminals (except those who hire those not eligible to work in our country and thus defraud Social Security, Medicare) provide for our nation's defense.

it should also help form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity; sadly, under Trump&Co none of this is occurring.
