Authorities had considered for months whether criminal charges were appropriate for the Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt -- The Justice Department’s decision, though expected, officially closes out the investigation.

Prosecutors said they had reviewed video of the shooting, along with statements from the officer involved and other officers and witnesses, examined physical evidence from the scene and reviewed the autopsy results. “Based on that investigation, officials determined that there is insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution,” the department said in a statement."

How could he have done that? He was on the stairs when she climbed up that window and there were people between them. How could he know she was going to do that to stop her before she climbed up?

Irrelevant since the cop had no way of knowing she was armed. It wouldn't have made a difference had she had a firearm in her backpack as she, and that mob, was still a threat to lawmakers.

But the lawyer absolutely lied when he claimed, "other officers, dressed in full tactical gear, stood among the protesters just a few feet behind the door." The video shows 3 of 4 of them escorting the first 3 cops down the stairs when Ashli Targetpractice was shot. There was still one remaining near the top of the stairs but out of position to stop the traitor from climbing through the broken out window.

Because the mob so greatly outnumbered police, they managed to gain access to much of the Capitol. Still, where there were lawmakers in danger, the police did everything they could to keep the mob at bay. They barricaded doors and guarded them with arms drawn.
