Looks like there is a bill for a party that previously advocated slavery to be banned from filing.

How could any Democrat that is always bitching about slavery vote against a bill like that?

Live by wokeness, die by wokeness.

Florida Republican pitches bill to eliminate the Florida Democratic Party

"The Ultimate Cancel Act" would "cancel" the filings of any party that "previously advocated for" slavery, which the Democratic Party did more than 150 years ago.

Florida has been rigged since 2000. No way that state is red.

Wow talk about your retroactive punishment. How about we collectively punish everyone who lives in a State that formally declared that all Negroes should be enslaved in perpetuity, and force them to pay reparations. How could anyone live in a state that did that?

What other stupid shit will these Vulture Culture Warrior asshole types squirt out?

Oh that is brilliant!!

Because the Democrats in the 1800's defended slavery you're going to punish modern day Democrats?

You forget that in the 1960's blacks started joining the Democratic party and then all those white racist Democrats joined the Republican party.

Think about this. Which party objected to MLK day? That's all you have to know to realize the parties switched on racism. It used to be Democrats but now the KKK votes GOP.

The King holiday used to be controversial, only passing the House more than 10 years after Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) filed the first bill calling for a day to commemorate the slain civil rights icon. The measure eventually passed in 1983. Ninety representatives and 22 senators voted against it. All Republicans.

FAST FORWARD TO 2015. THERE WERE STILL REPUBLICANS WHO ARGUED AGAINST MLK DAY.

There were only six members of Congress who voted against creating a national holiday for King. Another small handful did so at the state level. All Republicans

The six who cast votes against the national holiday are all Republicans: Sens. Richard Shelby (Ala.), Chuck Grassley (Iowa), John McCain (Ariz.) and Orrin Hatch (Utah), as well as Reps. Jim Sensenbrenner (Wis.) and Hal Rogers (Ky.). Shelby cast his vote as a Democrat, before he switched parties.

Steve Klein, a spokesman for the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, said that the dwindling number of Republican lawmakers opposing the holiday shows progress.

At least they are admitting whites were wrong and should be punished for what we did in the past. Sounds like they are now open to giving blacks reparations too now?

Good idea. Punish the whites who's ancestors owned slaves and since you agree modern day whites need to pay then you must also agree that blacks today deserve compensation.
So in theory can we outlaw past common practices and then punish the ancestors of those folks who practiced them? Well not just the ancestors but anyone who uses the ancestors name. What wrong with that, snowflakes?

I like it. Florida's becoming paradise for the Trump/Dubya boomer vote anyways. Concentrate the dying regressives in Florida and maybe the rest of us can keep moving along.

That went right over your head.
It is intended to make the woke look in the mirror. Obviously it isn't a serious bill that has any possibility of passing.
It is NO LESS ridiculous as reparations. No less absurd than the myriad of cancel culture movies to ban this and that from 100s of years ago,
It is cold water thrown in the face of the left. A brilliant taste of their own medicine.

No, that is fascist. Making the opposition illegal is a classic authoritarian trick.

Obviously, it's not going to happen, but Singapore outlawed left wing parties years ago (they recently rescinded some of that) and they have been one of the most thriving nations in the world.

Thanks for admitting Republicans are playing politics and not really leading this country. They're already campaigning for 2024. Woke is their trigger button.

I knew what this was.

And another reason this bill is a joke is because today's Democrats were the Lincoln Republican who freed the slaves. Fast forward to the 60's civil rights. Today it's us liberals and Democrats who want to protect civil rights and it's Republicans trying to dismantle the civil rights act. And its us who want to celebrate MLK day and Black History Month.

This is why you guys don't want CRT taught. They teach us about the southern strategy and how whites left the Democratic party when blacks joined. That way you can keep pretending it was you Republicans who freed the slaves. And then the next day argue why a Robert E Lee statue should remain. Such hypocrites.
