No Prison time for Bergdahl....

The biggest demonstrations in America are something called the Rolling Thunder POW/MIA Ride For Freedom Rally's held every year during Memorial Day weekend for over 25 years. It brings well over 500,000 motorcycles and riders to Washington, DC, a large percentage of them veterans plus tens of thousands of supporters who line the streets with flags. The entire time period that Bergdahl was a prisoner the veterans that put on the event put the focus on Bergdahl, had his parents in attendance and as speakers at the rally and demanded that whatever needed to be done to bring him home be done. Half a million veterans and citizens flooding Washington DC, bringing petitions, meeting at the White House and with Congress people, talking to the media and focusing all that attention and demanding Bergdahl be brought home at any cost. According to some posters here all of that should have been ignored. Who should Obama have listened to, millions of veterans and their supporters or the hater dupes?

He deserted his post in war...
The guys on post with him at the time view him as an absolute traitor.
The worm deserves the worst possible treatment the rest of his life.

How many guys died looking for Bergdahls' skanky ass?

according to the Army- none.

WTF?!?!?! This kid abandoned his post, disobeyed orders, and ended up costing the lives of fellow soldiers out looking for him. We should have left his ass to rot in that Afghan cave.

This "kid" was discharged from the Coast Guard on a psych discharge, but the army signed him up because they were having a hard time making headcount. They then put him in a war zone with poor leadership and hopped him up on drugs to keep him alert. I really can't get horribly worked up that he showed bad judgement when put in that situation.

Only in the land of Faust.

I was thinking that prosecuting a mentally ill man for a bad decision was actually Kafkaeque.

This is the Army trying to cover its ass, which is what it's been doing since the day Bergdahl was captured.

In reality, it's the Army covering Obies' ass, which is what it's been doing since the day Bergdahl was released. Correcting you is EZ.........
LOL. I was wondering how long it would take for one of you fucking retards to blame it on President Obama. You nutters are always good for a laugh.

Obama traded five top level terrorists for the coward. Obama should be laying face down on a beach.

You mean like the 4 of out 5 getting an Obamacare subsidy where the costs involves someone else doing the funding?

Again, those costs get spread around one way or another. fucking poor people, they just refuse to die.

Now, if we were smart, we'd just have single payer like every other industrialized nation has. But that's too much like "Socialism' for you inbreds.

Glad you admit that Obamacare didn't solve the problem you said it would solve and lower costs.

If we were smart, we'd let people like you who claim you care for those without coverage pay their bills personally but that's too much living up to your own word for you liars.

If you want someone without coverage to have it, pay their premium with your own money. I don't owe them healthcare. You claim to care yet you do nothing to prove it. Liar but I could say Liberal and it would be redundant.
Obamacare just another government mandated social program... Doomed to failure just like all of them.
Because they were forced on people that have no need for them and obviously do not want them...

Embrace the suck

I think you are being to rational.

When Bergdahl was a captive, Obama wasn't doing enough to get him out.

When Obama got him out, Bergdahl became the worst traitor since Ethel Rosenberg.

It really isn't about Bergdahl, it's about the right's hate for Obama. so they insist the army needs to prosecute this damaged kid out of revenge.

They should execute him as what he is, a traitor. He wasn't a captive. Captives are caught. He wanted to be with the enemy.
You have an opinion, but it means nothing in this situation. The people who served demanded that Obama bring him home because the policy the country and veterans have fought for is that every one be brought home and nobody gets left behind. Nobody means nobody with no exceptions. We will deal with the guys that come home when they come home, good or bad. We have a system in place and that is what we go by, but it is up to us to deal with it, not our enemies who get their hand on and imprison our soldiers.

You don't get to make the judgement that he deserted and even it he did you don't make the decision about his military status if a soldier does desert.

It will always be in his record, and the families he destroyed will not let it go.
His captivity was a paid vacation with his Muslim buddies...

Uh, the Army is looking to make this go away... so no.
Don't be so sure, sh!t always follows sh!t around.
Those families that he destroyed will not ever let him be, rightly so.

A pariah is just that... Never forgotten

They dishonor their loved ones like people like you dishonor them. If, and it is a big if, they became casualties while searching for Bergdahl they were fulfilling their oath and vow to not leave anyone behind. They were honorable soldiers and do not deserve to have people dishonoring their names by insinuating that they did not die for a valuable cause and insinuating that their deaths were wasted for an unworthy cause.

Sh!t needs to be discarded without a second thought...

I'll repeat, he left his post in war time, if anyone has ever been in the military. There is reason why it's the first general order, it's the first thing they drilled over and and over and over.
In war time it's what everything is built on, you have people leaving their post you no military.

In real world terms... It's unforgivable.

Someone who knows the definition of traitor and how traitors should be dealt with.

You keep calling him our personnel. When he deserted, that no longer was the case. He was one of them.

What it amounts to is Obama ass lickers are trying to cover for their boy. He can't dare be held accountable for turning over terrorists for a piece of shit like Bergdahl. You'll do anything to cover for him.

The same person who made you judge and jury. His fellow soldiers say he deserted.
