‘The leadership of the North Carolina House of Representatives today proposed a new bill. The draft law strips transgender all people of legal protection until they obtain a “certificate of sex reassignment”.

It also introduces harsher penalties for trans people who use the “wrong” bathroom, bolsters religious freedom protections, and blocks local areas from passing non-discrimination protections.’

Such is the reprehensible, authoritarian right.

Bigger government, more intrusive government, all at the expense of individual liberty - it's the conservative way.

What the fuck are you babbling about? This proposed law actually makes sense.

If you are person who has been undergoing "gender reassignment" then go get the little certificate and no one can bother you when you use the restroom of your choice, or THEY are in violation of the same law.

If you don't have the certificate , you have to use the restroom of your birth gender, etc etc.


Now , in terms of bathroom use that seems pretty unlikely to be enforced. But in terms of such things as say wanting to play gender specific sports or receive gender specific grants and such, it makes sense.

Who actually elects these people ?

Gays will be forced to register for "education" next.

You didn't pay attention to Wisconsin, did you? NOTHING about this election can be predicted based on past election trends. The Wisconsin polls were completely wrong in predicting who would win the state. And in spite of Trumps "unfavorability ratings" he's brought in a record number of votes.
