Nothing generates unemployment like liberal policy

If we didn't like China building our iPhones - we would stop buying them.

Oregon to Lose 62,700 Jobs Due to Minimum Wage Hike
"to lose" is a prediction, not a past result.
Exactly. The actual result will be considerably worse than the predictions. Just ask the people of L.A. who are all losing their jobs after the idiotic $15 per hour minimum wage hike.

Walmart Closes LA Store Over $15 Minimum Wage - Breitbart

(Quick - deny reality again and come up with some absurd reason why Republican's and/or the "evil" free market is to blame for everyone going from a low wage job to a no wage job after liberal policy was implemented)

One would have to be a total and complete idiot to think raising the MW to $15/hr will not result in continued high unemployment of young people. But then, consequences mean nothing to the Left.

Sadly, our friends on the left are completely ignorant of even basic economics. They are all ideology. And so they hysterically (and quite tragically) believe that the "evil" successful business owner will eat that cost. Well, anybody that stupid would already be out of business. The successful business owner is successful because they don't eat cost. They either cut back labor, elliminate labor (with automation of some kind), or pass the costs on to the consumer (creating an unsustainable economy where socks from Walmart cost $60 a pair). Either way, the low wage worker loses with liberal policy. They are either working less hours, completely out of a job, or no further ahead because their new wages are offset by the new high prices to cover their wage.

So again, I have to ask... why is WalMart closing HUNDREDS of stores in the South and only one in LA?

The day WalMart goes the fuck away will be a great day for America. Fuck WalMart.

Guy, we had our greatest economic prosperity when the labor force was unionized and well paid.

Here's how you make the business guy pay a fair wage. You tax the shit out of his excess profits and then create a lot of government jobs building needed infrastructure. If he wants labor, he'll have to pay for it, and his tax burden will go down when he does.

That's how you do it. That's how most of the rest of the world does it.

There is no denying the facts (though some will sadly still try)...

It may hurt the pocket book of several billionaires and multi-millionaires, why you can't have that...

I didn't know billionaires and multi-millionaires shopped at Walmart. Closing Walmart stores will hurt the pocketbook of low and middle class workers that shopped there and will now have to pay more due to the lack of competition.

The labor force was unionized in 1935, so why didn't we have a great economy then? Douche bags like you look at one point in the data that seems to bare out your theory and declare victory. While doing that you're ignoring all the data points that contradict your theory. That's how douche bags operate, not serious scholars.

I don't look at one point of data, I look at dozens of points of Data.

The American Middle Class had its heyday between 1945 and 1980. Good homes, good jobs, comfortable life.

And two key points of data.

The rich paid a nominal rate of 70% to 93%.
The workforce was largely unionized.

you see, the economy does better when the people who DO the work enjoy the rewards of the work.

That's one data point, douche bag. What about the 1935 data point where the middle class was largely unemployed?

You don't even know the meaning of the term "data point," yet you feel qualified to lecture others about economics.

Typical leftwing douche bag ignoramus.

If you lived where I do, by NW Arkansas where the Walton's reside, you'd know that they may not shop there, but they damn sure get paid from there...

Walmart didn't close their doors because of the increase to minimum wage. That increase didn't even go into effect but they closed.

The increase doesn't begin until 2017 and even then it's only a .50¢ increase until 2018.
