Nothing generates unemployment like liberal policy

Here's my question . Are their min wage jobs still available ? The Answr is yes .

So what if min wage job #1 is lost . That employee can go across the street and instantly get another min wage job. They are ALWAYS available .

Exactly. The actual result will be considerably worse than the predictions.
"will be"?

Another prediction!

Oregon to Lose 62,700 Jobs Due to Minimum Wage Hike
"to lose" is a prediction, not a past result.
Exactly. The actual result will be considerably worse than the predictions. Just ask the people of L.A. who are all losing their jobs after the idiotic $15 per hour minimum wage hike.

Walmart Closes LA Store Over $15 Minimum Wage - Breitbart

(Quick - deny reality again and come up with some absurd reason why Republican's and/or the "evil" free market is to blame for everyone going from a low wage job to a no wage job after liberal policy was implemented)
One would have to be a total and complete idiot to think raising the MW to $15/hr will not result in continued high unemployment of young people. But then, consequences mean nothing to the Left.
Maybe we should lower it to $1.00 an hour? That will make companies SOOOOO happy!

There is no denying the facts (though some will sadly still try)...

Walmart Closes LA Store Over $15 Minimum Wage - Breitbart
It may hurt the pocket book of several billionaires and multi-millionaires, why you can't have that...

I didn't know billionaires and multi-millionaires shopped at Walmart. Closing Walmart stores will hurt the pocketbook of low and middle class workers that shopped there and will now have to pay more due to the lack of competition.
Neither Rottweiler nor Breitbart have shown why Walmart closed that L.A. store. It could be any number of reasons, from changing demographics to property taxes to State laws that reduce the massive profits each store makes.

In NYC there is ONE Costco Warehouse, in Brooklyn. You had better believe that that one store does millions of dollars per day, because it's such an expensive location. And yes, I said millions. The 2 or 3 Costcos in Seoul, S. Korea do an average of $3 million per day.

Walmart didn't close their doors because of the increase to minimum wage. That increase didn't even go into effect but they closed.

The increase doesn't begin until 2017 and even then it's only a .50¢ increase until 2018.
Well you can't run your business on yesterday. There is a reason that business includes concepts like "strategic planning" and "financial projections". Walmart looked at the unsustainability of the absurd policy and closed their doors.
You've shown nothing that proves that was their reason.

And it's absurd to say that they need to shut a store down a year in advance of a law taking effect.

You're grasping and failing spectacularly dude.

No need to be stupid.

Do you ever consider the consequences? This will hurt the small business person and young inexperienced workers. That much is clear, if you are not stupid. Big corporations don't care, because they can afford it or have few employees making MW.

Unemployment for teenagers is high and particularly high among inner city poor. Raising the MW hurts them, but it is a good political move, as it dupes dupes like you.

Click on his link. Breitbart updated their story...

(Update: The closure was described by the company as one of 154 closures “that took into account a number of factors, including financial performance as well as strategic alignment with long-term plans.”)

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Big corporations don't care, because they can afford it or have few employees making MW.
The vast majority of Walmart workers make minimum wage. As do Home Depot, Lowes, most grocery stores, most fast food, and most every chain in the nation.

President Obamas liberal policies have generated ten million jobs

.

The funny thing is the only thing I ever hear OBama say is that republicans blocked him and couldn't pass anything he ever wanted. Then 'liberals' say that his legislation, which apparently never got passed, saved this country. I'm trying to figure where the consistency in their bullshit is.

Yes there are a few big corps who pay MW and no doubt they will look to replace the human MW worker with automation or cut staff, as the MW rises. Then what will you have caused?

The small business employer has a tough time competing with the big corps as it is now. You force him to pay the higher MW, and he cuts staff or closes his doors. Then what will you have caused?

FUNNY:
Lefties love to talk about the wonders of socialism in Europe and how they want the USA emulate them. Of course, high unemployment rates are rampant throughout Europe thanks to gov controlled high MW. They don't seem to want to admit this or don't know the facts.

Watching uneducated conservatives and far-rights trying to explain economics is like watching fish trying to explain the bowl. The obvious eludes them...

Everywhere liberals get these insane minimum wages shoved through, we see insane unemployment. Businesses move or shut down. Nothing but poverty is left in the wake of liberal policy. What a damn shame...

Minimum wage hikes put pressure on businesses to 're-engineer labor force,' a restaurateur says - LA Times
Some restaurants face pressure to trim menus and staffs under California's wage hike

Obviously you've never enjoyed the restaurants in the SF Bay Area. Prices here are high, and incomes too. Driving into The City one sees progress in action, "With all the cranes, scaffolding and “authorized personnel only” signs sprouting in San Francisco, it is evident there is a tremendous amount of building underway in the foggy city. The top 10 projects total an estimated $9.3 billion and include hospitals, transportation hubs and office towers."

There is a building boom going on throughout the nation...some experts think it reminiscent of the time just prior to the crash of 07/08.

According to Forbes, San Franfreako is ranked 14th.

Do you think this building boom means raising the MW will have no consequences?

From your link: "We did not include money spent on public works projects such as bridges, streets and parks, nor on utility construction"

Seems to me infrastructure which is included in the link I provided is necessary for successful growth. One other factor to consider is SF is 49 sq. miles and bigger is not necessarily better.

They've been doing that - where have you been? There is a huge self-checkout at Walmart, and Home Depot and Lowes also have them.

Of course, high unemployment rates are rampant throughout Europe thanks to
Thanks to Bush's financial crash, which they still have not come out of as well as the U.S..

But that's their own damn fault for embracing austerity, which was guaranteed to be a disaster.

Obama got it right, getting $825 Billion back into the economy to halt the slide.

I thought it was Bush that got TARP passed to get the economy back on track.

Exactly my point. Thank you.

Yeah...Big Ears the GREAT DIVIDER has doubled the national debt in just 8 years and yet we have low growth and a declining middle class. If government spending leads to prosperity, we should be experiencing GREAT PROSPERITY...but we are not. Why?
