Noticing that a lot of 2018 commercials seem to be promoting Interracial Couples

Wrong.

Interracial couples have been a part of America since its beginning.

And racists alone are responsible for making themselves uncomfortable.
There have been interracial couples in this country since its beginning. Just not very many of them. I live in one of the most diverse cities in the nation. We certainly do have interracial couples. I see them once a week or so. If you judge by commercials and tv shows, most couples are interracial. The media is trying to make a new normal.

So commercials are making being with who you love, regardless of race, the new normal?

Cool! Good job, commercials!
These people don't love each other. They don't know each other. They showed up for a commercial shoot.

Even you are not that dense. Are you?

No one is talking about the actors in the commercial. They are talking about what they represent.
What they are told to represent which is supposed to create a new normal. The individual is guided into feeling that social advances by someone of a different race is acceptable and desirable.

And social advances by someone of a different race is not acceptable?

Not to everyone although the entire point of the media campaign is to make it so. Should someone who categorically refuses to have a relationship with someone of a different race be made to feel that such refusal is somehow wrong? After all, according to pop media, everyone else is open to such relationships.

If someone, especially a female, is made to feel it is wrong to refuse to date someone of a different race, it is only by the guy pursuing her. And that is not about race. It is a guy saying whatever he can to get laid.

And there is no media campaign to prevent people from dating within their race. That is just bullshit. The campaign is only to stop the harassment or pressure against those who do want to date outside their race.

Every message of the commercials and many of the shows in guiding people to accept interracial dating as normal, acceptable and desirable. Those who feel differently are wrong. That's the message being sent. The same thing for same sex relationships. They are depicted as normal and acceptable. Those who refuse are just bigots whose minds need to be changed.

Again, nobody is saying dating within outrace is wrong. Just because people accept interracial dating does not mean the do not accept same race dating.

And yes, there are interracial and gay couples on TV. But are there any that don't have ANY same race or opposite sex couples? ?

Most of this doesn't make sense, were you changing shifts or something

The social propaganda is to persuade people to be more accepting of interracial relationships. Otherwise, there is simply no point to having commercials highlighting interracial couples.

Sure there is another point. If you are in an interracial relationship, and a commercial shows an interracial couple, you notice it. Bingo! That is the point of advertising.

Interracial couples are, realistically, about 8% of the population. Who cares what they notice. In the media, interracial couples are 60% of the population. That's propaganda.

In the United States, black people are 12% of the population. In the media they are 56% of the population. That's propaganda. It's having a real world that you want to change into some other place that you like better.

It's as much remaking the culture as the laundry commercial ring around the collar and the television show Father Knows Best was remaking the culture in its time. Only that was positive and this is destructive.

Showing interracial couples (or are we limiting this to only black and white couples?) is destructive?

The sooner gene pool is diluted, the better off we humanoids will be.

Not more on that racial crap to divide us.

And once we get rid of that other nonsense (aka religion) then maybe humanity might be able to make some real progress.

The fact that the racial makeup of the people in commercials bothers you speaks volumes.

Why do you care if people of different races date or marry? It does not affect you at all. In my lifetime interracial couples faced violence, vandalism and social rejection just because of who they dated. And you want to whine about commercials? Tough shit! Get used to it. We aren't going backward to when cowards wearing sheets tried to terrorize them.

Destructive? How? Name one thing that is destroyed.

The overwhelming majority of people don't care and mind their own business.

The ones who whine about it are like Mrs Cravitz on the old TV show Bewitched.

Stop making shit up. You lost the argument, live with it. It is not the end of the world. These commercials are nothing but propaganda designed to create a world that does not yet exist. Does that bother me? Only to the extent that I do not want my preferences guided by a politically correct hand. I don't bother watching propaganda.

Lost the argument? LMAO! The only argument you have offered is your claim that major corporations will spend millions of dollars to engineer a change that does nothing for them. And you think that is a better argument than my claim that they are aiming at a demographic that has been unrepresented almost completely? That is a joke.

And your claims that they spend millions on advertising to make people stop dating people of the same race? Really? And you have offered no evidence beyond some vague claim they want to destroy the world. That is lunacy. For every commercial with an interracial couple, there are hundreds with same race couples. But somehow we are all supposed to now be ashamed if we date within our race? Interracial couples, while much more common than 30 or 40 years ago, are still a tiny minority.
