NRO Disinvited from Houston Debate

Tonight, a top official with the RNC called me to say that National Review was being disinvited. The reason: Our “Against Trump“ editorial and symposium. We expected this was coming. Small price to pay for speaking the truth about The Donald.

Seems like an odd decision being that the RNC isn't exactly thrilled about Trump either.

Makes a lot of sense actually. RNC is rallying around the front runner, its taken some time but they see the inevitable.

And the DNC split is right behind it IF Sanders takes Iowa.

Looks like the GOP has finally resigned to the fact that republicans really are that crazy, and they are going to nominate Trump if they want him or not.

If republicans are serious about cleaning up the mess that is the GOP, the first thing they need to do is relegate to the political backseat the social right, the TPM, and libertarians.

I have just posted a thread about the national review issue and how misguided it is, but I would want them to be at the debate if I was Trump so I could explain why they are pissing in the wind. Republicans picking and choosing the questioners at some point looks like a rigged game to say nothing of,them looking like hypocrites hating on trump at one minute and wrapping their arms around him next. Let the voters decide.

Nope. We got room and they are welcome.

Of course you've got room. The tea party and libertarians have already taken over the GOP. Sadly, you don't have room for any body else.

Wrong.

The bigots and racists among the ranks of the GOP have ruined the Party; wrongheaded TPM nitwits and childish, naïve libertarians have misappropriated a Republican Party once known for fiscal responsibility and individual liberty, principles the Party abandoned more than 40 years ago, the consequence of the Faustian bargain struck with the social right.

The GOP has become the enemy of individual liberty – seeking to deny gay Americans their right to equal protection of the law, African-Americans their right to vote, and women their right to privacy – all manifestations of the authoritarian right and its desire to increase the size and power of government at the expense of that individual liberty.

Today the Republican Party has deteriorated into a collection of reactionary ideologues hostile to sound, responsible governance, with nothing of merit or value to offer the American people, save that of their politics of fear and personal attacks, devoid of substance, facts, or the truth.

I miss the days when the GOP still had integrity.

How is it a problem for Democrats if one candidate is doing a little better than the other this far out? Unlike the right. Our candidates are ALL qualified. You're the ones who don't even like people in your own party. I understand though. Your mental midgets will never get along with anybody.

Too damn funny.

For all of the macho talk about how "the media is not going to pick the GOP candidate again" (the claim is that the media picked McCain and Romney)....lookie lookie at what is happening folks;

The producers of TV shows cannot give Donald enough free air time, he's about as conservative as the average democrat, and like good little sheep, the GOP is lining up right behind him.

That's the way an imbecile would approach the subject. Imbeciles cannot discuss an unpleasant subject without trying to deflect the unpleasantness to the other guys.

The RNC must remain neutral when it comes to the candidates. That goes for any organization sponsoring the debates, like the National Review.

Bigots? Hardly. The GOP was founded to end slavery that Democrats wanted. Did you know the Democrats also started the KKK, implemented Jim Crow and fought against civil rights laws? Yep. That's a fact.

Wow.

You don't understand what that will mean for the general election if he gets the nomination? Seriously?

I don't care, I really don't.

But most Americans care more about TV, reality show, etc. than they do for politics.

If the networks like to cover him more than anything else, and they hide Democrat coverage b/c it's boring. . . what does that mean when the gerneral election coverage comes? Don't you get it? Folks that don't know how to think vote for what they see on TV.

The TV covers what it's advertisers want them to cover b/c they want people watching.

You still haven't figured out how it all works yet, huh?

And as has been stated in MULTIPLE THREADS, TRUMP isn't REALLY as conservative.

You aren't worried yet? Seriously?

Not only is the media going to pick the next Candidate, it looks like the media is going to pick the next president. But they sort of did that with Obama, didn't they?

You may think the GOP are good little sheep, but face it candy, all Americans are good little sheep.

The DNC namely DW Shultz when she saw she gal Hillary slipping fucked around with the DEM debate schedule to make sure as few voters saw/heard Sanders on the same stage as the DNC presumptive DEM nominee as possible. They couldn't have the debate on live at midnight but Deddie tried.
That is not in dispute so you can't claim the 'media' attempted to "hide" the coverage.
The MSM are almost 100% radical LIBs. That also is not in dispute. The MSM votes overwhelmingly DEM every election.
The LIB controlled MSM are 'miles' to the left of Hillary.
The MSM have chosen to go with Sanders KNOWING he doesn't stand a chance. Why? Because the MSM is losing their monopoly on traditional news sources.
Every week hundreds of LIB MSM employees from news networks and newspapers across the country big and small are getting pink slips.
What to do? Try to show the 'Beltway' the MSM still has some political clout left. Sure the DEM will lose next election no matter who the DEM nomination is. The DNC has basically tossed this election in file 13. The LIB MSM can then get a shot in the arm visa vi LIB readers/viewers who will ironically be pleased to buy the paper so they can get their 'smug on' seeing how badly Trump is fucking up.
Lib MSM: "See we told you so but you wouldn't LISTEN! Let the next four years be a LESSON! to you DEM Beltway boys and girls! Next time take your friends in the LIB controlled MSM much more seriously!". AKA we are still relevant so don't be so fast to sell the paper to some fucking Chinese businessman who will put 99% of the edition into flyers and coupons.
The Lib dominated MSM did choose Obama. He was their wet dream Socialist poster boy who couldn't lose when you added the 'White-guilt' soccer moms fresh out of those Liberal Indoctrination Centers AKA colleges, they graduated from a couple of years ago and the 'block-vote' from the 'OJ jury' negros.
This time the LIB MSM have some bad shit on their hands trying to deal with Trump.
The NR has always been the face of the elites in the GOP.
I trust none of you have any money invested in the 'doddo bird'.

You don't understand what that will mean for the general election if he gets the nomination? Seriously?

Sure I do. The independents that the GOP sorely needs in light of his insulting of women, Hispanics, war heroes, and those with physical disabilities will be few and far between.

I don't care, I really don't.

Yet here you are....

But most Americans care more about TV, reality show, etc. than they do for politics.

Incredible that Mitt Romney got approximately 60,000,000 votes by people who "do not know how to think" according to your theory.

You still haven't figured out how it all works yet, huh?
The GOP has lost 5 of the last 6 popular votes. I'm pretty sure you're the one in the dark.

And as has been stated in MULTIPLE THREADS, TRUMP isn't REALLY as conservative.

No. If Cruz or Trump are going to be the two horses in the race, I'm not worried one bit. Even Hillary couldn't screw this one up.

You may think the GOP are good little sheep, but face it candy, all Americans are good little sheep.

Despite the bluster and machismo of the last 4 years, you guys are voting for the most liberal candidate you're running.....If Ms. Bo Peep comes looking for her sheep, I'll send her to you post haste.
