President Obama pledged $7 billion in funds from the electricity initiative, dubbed Power Africa, to be distributed over the next five years to six countries — Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria and Tanzania. President Obama said the U.S. wants to help Africa without interfering, as colonial powers did in the past.

"Don’t just assume that folks come here and they’re automatically benefiting Africans. And that includes the United States. Ask questions in terms of what we do."

Huh? For electric power companies? Will he try to give them green power, too, or will he keep his hands off THEIR decision to do what's best for the most like he SHOULD HAVE over here?

Where did he get $7 billion dollars from? Tightening his belt?

Why does Obama want to interfere the living daylights out of energy companies in the USA, but give $7 billion that he doesn't have to Kenya?

And instead of badmouthing the USA like he did in the EU, he's just telling AFrica to NEVER TRUST THE USA AFTER I LEAVE OFFICE!!!!!

The Global Electricity Initiative was established by the participating utilities from around the world to showcase climate change actions during the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties 17 / Meeting of the Parties (COP 17 / CMP 7) event on 28 November to 9 December 2011.
