Lucifer's first sin was when he tempted Eve in the Garden. God wanted him to test them, but he went way beyond what he was told to do.

Think of your standard family over 3 generations. The grandparents are the ones that lay the groundwork for a decent life, and they are supposed to teach their children. The parents are responsible for teaching the child, so that the child can advance and improve the family. So......in a very real way, if the grandparents did something wrong, they are going to teach their children about it, and the children will repeat their mistakes, and therefore, the sins of the father are visited upon the son.
