where are the costs of monthly premiums in california?

nothing about that on a site
plus the covered california is ONLY for those who are eligible for subsidies - so that is BULLSHIT

That is simply not true.

yes it is true. IT IS ONLY FOR SUBSIDIZED POSSIBILITIES.

That is what it gives ME:

Metal Tiers: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze

You do not qualify for premium assistance through Covered California.

when I go past assistance - it gives me the same crap approximately as in my state - the monthly cost is a bit lower, than in my state, but I have a copay FOR EVERYTHING ( I don't have now) . Deductible is low - 2000$ - unlike 15K as is in my state and 20% after the deductible. and it does have that max out of pocket for a family - which is not in my state - 12,700

I got the same notice - but here's the REST of your quote, from Covered CA:

You do not qualify for premium assistance through Covered California. However, you may still purchase a high quality health insurance plan that fits your needs. Each private health insurance plan sold through Covered California offers four different levels of coverage. These levels, or “metal tiers,” are called platinum, gold, silver, and bronze.

The price I quoted above ($799 a month) is unsubsidized.

vox......

What is your max out of pocket now?
Who pays the majority of your premiums?

2,500$
my employer.

but it will be gone if this crap stays - by 2018 all employer-based insurances will be gone.

I still don't know what are the figures for this year enrollment - I was telling about the last years premiums and benefits.

Have you ever purchased health insurance privately, not through a job?

That's how much it costs.

well I went past that - see my post.

There are major differences between your and my state ( mine is inaccessible now) but the coverage I have NOW is way better than either the one in Cali or in my state under obamacare.

"Platinum" level plans have NO deducible, usually.

leftists commentators always used the lame "exsisting conditions" excuse every time they start losing the argument,,,but they will never tell americans that WE ARE PAYING FOR IT !!! thats why health-care costs have doubled,,,,,derrrrr

If you spend 22.3k in a year on your insurance obligations, how much do you think the total bills would be had you been uninsured?

Did you know that those out if pocket expenses are tax deductible?

Finally......the premiums are not based on income. They are based on Adjusted Gross Income.

But it is not how much it costs.
It is how much we have to pay for those who cost that much - and that is very unfair.
It is robbery by private companies with government racket to assure it.

I'll take that as a No.

I've been self-employed for the last 4 years, and have been purchasing insurance on the private market that long.

I've been paying almost a thousand dollars a month.

there are only 2 types provided past subsidized ones
sorry, found now, it is a different click.

there are no deductible, out of pocket max is 8000$ and monthly is 1000$ with a copay of EVERYTHING - that is a rip-off

Close the pop-up box, and click the button at the top labelled "Gold/Platinum" plans.

Do you know what the max out of pocket is under a silver plan in your state? Do you?

there is no max out of pocket - there is everything to pay.
silver plan is not even near to what I have now. near would be platinum.

This pretty much confirms that you don't have any idea what you're talking about.

The ACA law includes limits on maximum out-of-pocket costs at various levels of insurance sold on the exchanges.

I think that out of pocket deal has been suspended till 2015....?

It's a ONE SIZE FITS ALL PLAN which forces most people to pay premiums for things they will never use.

A couple making $65K with no children doesn't need pre-natal and maternity care if they do not plan to have children. If they are relatively healthy, a bare bones catastrophic care plan would make much more sense and USED to cost a fraction of the $22K+ they how face.
