yes...all you morons who bitch and moan about the evil healthcare companies.......they just had their stocks go up..........you guys are the joke....:rofl:

Obamacare requires people under the threat of compounding fines to buy a crappy product... backstops insurance companies with the Three R's: risk corridors, reinsurance, and risk adjustment. Sets up a friendly racket between the insurance industry and the politicians they choose to back. And, encourages mergers and consolidation in order to streamline administrative costs.

Fortunately, I'm healthy and I can opt out. I'll spend those 100's a month on promoting my health.

The OP is a bullshit story from Brietbart. That particular unit of Mercy employs 40,000 workers. Most of those being laid off are in leadership positions and will not have an affect on quantity or quality of health care. Elsewhere in the Mercy system they are hiring 2,000 new employees. Of course Brietbart doesn't tell you that.
Here is the story told by a local news group without and political agenda.

Healthcare costs have leveled off.
More Americans are now insured than at any other time in history.
You cannot be dumped for using your health insurance.
People no longer have to die or go broke because they can't get health care insurance.

The bill was PASSED almost 60 times, more than any other bill in our history. It is now the law of the land.

Thank you Mr President.

Here is the topper for the Brietbart fake propaganda story. Same company hiring 2,000 new employees. Brietbart is lying to trick people into the doom and gloom mode while in reality the target company is booming.

when Obama was telling the world that Obama-Care was a success, he was actually speaking to the 8,836 Trillion Cockroaches that live in the USA, they will believe anything a Democrat tells them.

And now a word from a couple of uncowed liberals;

Michael Moore; “Obamacare is awful... For many people, the 'affordable' part of the Affordable Care Act risks being a cruel joke," added Moore. "The cheapest plan available to a 60-year-old couple making $65,000 a year in Hartford, Conn., will cost $11,800 in annual premiums. And their deductible will be $12,600. If both become seriously ill, they might have to pay almost $25,000 in a single year."
"The Affordable Care Act is a pro-insurance-industry plan implemented by a president who knew in his heart that a single-payer, Medicare-for-all model was the true way to go," Moore wrote. "By 2017, we will be funneling over $100 billion annually to private insurance companies. You can be sure they’ll use some of that to try to privatize Medicare."

Dennis Kucinich; “Everyone should have health insurance? I say everyone should have health care. I'm not selling insurance.”
“Wake up America!
The insurance companies took over health care!
Wake up America!
The pharmaceutical companies took over drug pricing!
Wake up America!
The speculators took over Wall Street!
Wake up America!
They want your Social Security!
Wake up America!
Multinational corporations took over our trade policies!
Wake up America!
We went into Iraq for oil!
WAKE UP AMERICA!”

A public insurance option makes sense, logistically. Single payer makes sense, logistically. So does an all-out Ron Paul deregulation of health care. You can argue against those strategies on a philosophical basis. They do, however, lower the cost of healthcare.

Obamacare is the worst of all worlds.

Healthcare costs have leveled off.

No, you're lying.

{
Healthcare costs keep climbing, and so does our share of them.

Adults with insurance through work paid almost 7 percent more out-of-pocket in 2013 than in 2012, according to a new study from the Health Care Cost Institute, a nonprofit funded partly by insurance companies.

“There’s more high deductible health plans and cost sharing, so the co-pays change,” says Eric Barrette, a senior researcher at the Institute.

The co-pays are going up, of course. High out-of-pocket spending could lead consumers to shop around more. Obviously you don’t want to just look for a bargain. You want a good doctor. But healthcare costs could fall if consumers were a bit more price-sensitive.}

Lying again.

{Although the rolls of the uninsured have dropped dramatically since the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, took effect in January, a nagging 15 percent of the population remains uninsured, according to a new survey sponsored by the Transamerica Center for Health Studies. Still, the percentage of Americans without health coverage has dropped markedly from 22 percent to 15 percent over the past 11 months, according to the poll of 2,624 adults under the age of 64.}

You're a Soros paid hack. The problem is that virtually nothing you post is actually true.

Wow. I am so surprised that insurance companies stocks would go up on news they will not lose millions of customers overnight. This is quite jolting. I would have thought they would have plummeted in value. Insurance companies obviously make much more money when they have fewer customers (its ok, I am a mo ron like you)
