You guys buy into these allegations without really looking at them. The Republicans make a big splash and say a lot of scary things, but they really don't have the evidence to support it. You guys never really look at the evidence, but you really want to believe the Democrats are bad story, so you don't really care. Then nothing happens and you start to wonder why. The reason is that the Republicans can say whatever they want, but the DoJ can't. Politicians have no need to tell the truth. The DoJ does. If the evidence doesn't support it, there's nothing the DoJ can or should do.
